Set in 2912, you assume the role of Kyle Brennan, an Earth test pilot for the X-Shuttle, which has the ability to jump across space through a wormhole rather than relying on man-made jumpgates. During a test flight, something goes wrong and Ken ends up in an unknown part of the universe, where a alien race, the Teladi, fix his ship and make him take up merchant routes to pay off a debt to the aliens. With his jumpdrive destroyed, Ken finds himself lost and stranded in this foreign universe, with no way of getting back to Earth.

You embark on a series of missions to discover what the Khaak are after, where they originated, and the significance to your missing father, and preparing yourself to fend off a massive Khaak attack.

5. X3: Reunion - PC Games

The player reprises the role of Julian Gardna. Following the events of the previous game, the Argon secret service contact you to help train new pilots, as the organization suffered heavy losses during the battle with the Khaak. Soon after, a series of events lead Julian on a hunt for 'seeds', ancient alien artifacts that hold the key to creating jumpgates, leading to a potential return to the lost planet Earth.

7. X3: Terran Conflict - PC Games

With very strong focus on open-ended gameplay, this standalone addon for X3: Reunion, brings several new plot lines all connected, and choice of starting the game the game as one of multiple characters, ranging from soldier, merchant, or pirate.
