The Ghost of Canterville is one of my favorite books, so no!

Also: I don't really care for him but Orlando Bloom had one of his first movie appearance as a prostitute in 'Wilde' a movie about Oscar Wilde (surprise!) also featuring Jude Law as Wilde...So, without Oscar Wilde would Orlando Bloom be a famous actor? And if not, what about Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean?

There are many straight people (for example stupid christians) hating on gay people...You don't want us to marry each other, have kids, adopt kids or simply be happy and life our lives (Yeah, we're the bad ones, right?)...But what would you do without great people like the ones on the list?

You almost had me at Lady Gaga, but Freddie overpowers her lack of talent. You might want to change the first entry by the way, it's pointing at the wrong name, you need FreddIE Mercury.

Let's also not forget that Elton John (along with his songwriting partner, Bernie Taupin) crafted and offered up a huge catalog of wonderful songs and a string of hits longer than the Alaskan pipeline before working on Disney's Lion King. ;)

Edit: You might also consider adding Rock Hudson, who was one of the leading men in cinema throughout the 50's and 60's.

@Paul Foster: World would be a better place without you the catholics and homophobes... sorry I'm just a smart atheist!

A world without catholics - no crusades, no inquisition, no people burning, no slavery, no misogyny (yeah, you post pretty girls but call them bitches), no racism, no homophobia, no bullying, no bigotry, no hate. Perfect world.

It is disgusting how the ones who factually make world to be no good place blame others for this condition of the world. Moreover, they blame exactly the ones they oppress and which oppression makes the world being such no good place. They blame their own victims. Talking about plain and blatant hypocrisy here combined with rigid cruelty.

I suggest Mat Bomer (White Collar) to be added to the list and The Wachowskis (fromer Wachowski Brothers) as Larry is now openly transgendered and known as Lana Wachowski.

Hands up if you like computers? Alan Turing was gay, boom! Oh yeah just to stir it up again, I'm Catholic and don't care if people or gay or not, we're not all assholes (but yes a lot are)

Elton's own music in his best albums like Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Captain Fantastic and Tumbleweed Connection, and a catalogue of great songs, is far above his work on The Lion King. And he has helped save many lives with his work combatting AIDS

Oh and Christ never said anything against gays but "judge not lest ye be judged" etc: homophobic "Christians" are anti-Christ, selective over a few bible quotes while ignoring what doesn't suit them. Good Christians aren't homophobic.

Do look for more: Leonardo Da Vinci should be here

You have forgot Alan Turing, the father of PC... Without him now we can't see your list, we can't have a smartphone, a tablet and all things concerning bits or bytes. And maybe the world war II would have ended in a different way..

You mentioned that Jude Law played Oscar Wilde in 'Wilde' but that's incorrect. It's actually Stephen Fry who played Oscar Wilde and Jude Law had a smaller part playing one of Wilde's lovers, if I'm not mistaken.
