 385  6.4  6.50 A slow pace doesn't necessarily make for a bad movie if the director can inject tension, suspense or even shock. Sadly, Polanski wasn't able to this. The Ninth Gate is BORING and the ending is simple puzzling.  
23 2.8 4.50 A decent movie that builds up to...nothing. One of the worst endings I've seen in a movie.

2076 7.4 7.30 Dead Man's Chest should have been called "The Jack Sparrow Show". Johnny Depp is still fantastic but the story is just nonsense and the action was so over the top as to become ridiculous.  
6 3.5 4.50 Modesty Blaise is a totally kick ass character but the actress portraying can't convince me of that. She was woefully miscast and the fact that the story is dull doesn't help either. The only highlight is Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. 
235 4.8 3.90 I hated the special effects - they blurred Milla Jovovich to the point that her nose disappeared. Plot holes abound and so many editing mistakes. Just terrible.

The Ninth Gate is totally pointless - that's two hours of my life I wish I could get back.
