The absolute worst. The name of this band is !!!. After realising that with such a stupid name, they would be impossible to both pronounce on the radio and find on the internet, they made up the word Chk.

Exclamation mark exclamation mark exclamation mark is how you pronounce their name, they can't just make up phonetics!

Nothing screams desperation and 'We're actually really untalented!' than a band name that needs to be remembered for their name rather than their material.

Instead of building a reputation through the pub and concert halls of the world, an increasing number of dreadful bands have just thrown up an NME flare by naming their band with some sort of scenester jappery bullshit.

I personally think there's much worse out there, especially when you take a look at Asian bands. Some are just numbers like 001 (Thai), 13 (Japanese), 566 (Japanese), and tons more. There's also a trend to name the band after a letter of the roman alphabet - D (Japanese) is the first one that comes to mind. The Name (Korean) is also a band name I find particularly stupid.

the worst names ive ever seen are the Asian band names. some examples are: 2NE1, super junior, DBSK, B2ST, 2AM, 2PM and big bang. seriously, who thinks up these shit names?

Haha, awesome list!

Some of the worst ones I've come accross are Sunn O))) (pronounced "sun", the last few marks just represent the sun and it's rays) and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra-La-La Band with Choir (now known as Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, I guess they decided the old name was too long, I wonder why).

Here in Holland we had a band called 'Band without a Name' (in dutch). We also had 'Female singer without a name' (but everyone knew her name, so that was weird).

In Germany we've got a 'Band without a Name' (in german) too. They once had one but were sued by an insurance company of the same name. I guess they weren't in a creative mood after they lost the case...
