A great list. I agree with you that, at least some of these actors deserve an oscar. But....have you seen who won the oscar all these years. For instance: In 2008 could Ryan Gosling have won an Oscar for "Lars and the Real Girl", but the oscar went to Daniel Day-Lewis for his preformance in "There Will be Blood". And I must say; I totally agree with that choice. When it comes to Johnny Depp in "pirates of the Carribean", Sean Penn won the oscar for "Mystic River", and again; I can't blame them for that choice either. And this could be the case with all of them: Maybe they just had bad luck, and someone played even better than them that year.

You get my instant vote for selecting Anthony Perkins as number one! Agree with the majority of the others :D
I'd perhaps add Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy for Gary Oldman seeing as that is supposedly his strongest Oscar-worthy performance of his career. He was just amazing in Léon, though.

I agree with Ablabarrrrrkh@

But i think that they could at least nominated Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine, but i think that in that year should win James Franco in 127 hours, i think Colin Firth wasnt that great.

Michelle Williams was great, she should have win...but Natalie Portman technically kicked her ass in Black Swan

Michael Fassbender should win in Hunger, but Daniel Day Lewis its Greeeeat! But in Shame he should have win, he was waaaay better than Jean Dujardin in The Artist. But dont worry, i think he would win in a near future, "very near"

In my opinion Andrew Garfield doesnt deserve an Oscar...yet, i think he could in the future.

Ralph Fiennes should win in Spider or The English Patient more than win in the HP Saga. But Voldemort is still a good character.

And where is Ed Harris, he is one of the greatest, in The Hours, History of Violence, Pollock etc etc

And where is Christian Bale in American Psycho, The Machinist (average movie, good performance). But he already have an Oscar in The Fighter.

Gollum its... i dont know, but i dont think he should win.

Brad Pitt too, where is Fight Club, Seven, Tree of Life, Inglorious Basterds, Twelve Monkeys, even The Curious case of BB

Rooney Mara in The Girl with the DT

Jim Caviezel too

And i already said what i think about Leonardo DiCaprio

Its my opinion, i hope it could ... help you or like you

Depp, Norton and Gosling will all win an Oscar one day.

Many of these are just random mediocre performances! Were you involved in the production of Sweeney Todd or something?

"Best Actor In A Supporting Role - Lord Voldemort, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2"
No to Voldermort, but yes to Optimus Prime for best actor!

Might I suggest Edward Norton as Aaron Stampler in Primal Fear. Amazing performance and transformation in that movie. I got goosebumps.
