I've never been Chris Nolan fan outside of his Batman movies. Inception is his best movie to date without the caped crusader. Altho in the end I got confused that who was the dreamer in which "level" and who was the "subject" - I really enjoyed How Nolan did the whole thing.
Great childrens movie with sweet message. But this is still heavily flawed film that tries to mix Finnish mythology with Coca Cola Santa. Not for cynic or nihilistic persons. I enjoyed this but just because I like christmas.
The music score by Curtis Mayfield is SICK. One of the best soundtracks of all time. Ron O'Neal is great as cocaine dealer Priest trying to quit the dealings but it's not easy task. For a movie where nothing happens this is a good movie. It's gritty and realistic portait of a pusherman.
Jurassic Park! Gotta love those crazy Dinos. I remember watching this back in the day ‘93 or ‘94 and I was stunned. Everything looked so real and amazing. Since my last watch (10 years plus) I still remembered every key scene and scary part of the movie. This movie is part of my childhood and I’m always gonna love this movie. I'm still mad that Spielberg didn't show ANY violence in this movie.
Craptastic adventures of Sinbad. I guess Castellari was just tired because this is a very sloppy movie. Also the voice over is the stupidest idea of the movie. It's not that the movie isn't easy to follow without it. It took something like 1h30 minutes from mother to read the bedtime story to the little girl. I wish my parents had so much attension to me when I was growing up.
Yeah, Alain Resnais is still alive! Matter of fact his Private Fears in Public Places (2006) movie was amazing. He still outshines most of the European filmmakers working today. Too bad that his latest movie Wild Grass isn't masterpiece but quite tired romantic meta-play. Movie is beautiful to look at.
In the 90's this film was HUGE event but nobody hardly even remembers this anymore! Still fun to watch - I love how the cops are as ruthless as the criminals they're after. There are no good people in this movie.
This just might be most genius movie that I never understood. The main character re-creates life around him (for a play) but what he doesn't understand is that life isn't theater, it's experiences and emotions. When you're dying and you you go through your life - then it all might make sense. Mabeye when we're all dead we could make a play out of life. But the meaning of life ? Who knows. I liked this because it made me think but I just failed to see the point. We all die - so what ? What you make from your life is the key.
Like life itself this movie is brutal, unfair and ugly. As older this movie gets it seems to be more and more topical. The problems and the issues that this movie handles will never vanish in this world.
