One of my favourite games as a child. I played this game to death. Given some of the endurance races were over two hours long alone, I racked up the hours. Throw in a few friends to joint campaign with and you've got a whole lot more of wasted life. Grand Assault's rating:

The campaign mode might as well not have existed, it's all about the multiplayer. What better way to spend a weekend than in a co-op match with your house mate that lasts for 24 straight hours? Grand Assault's rating:

I finished the actual story mode after a meagre 20 hours. I thought that wondering the wastes wouldn't be able to take up much more of my time but I was proven completely wrong. Great fun has continued to be had by all! Grand Assault's rating:

I completed this game just once and thanks to it being utterly impossible to complete thoroughly without sending you insane, I never bothered with all the side quests in their entirety. Sadly I played Blitzball to the max! Grand Assault's rating:

This is where my life takes a turn for the worse. Thinking back, Southend were the team I guided to glory in this game. But I was still a part time gamer! Grand Assault's rating:

Getting quite good at this game now... Grays Athletic, it's your time to shine! Sadly, I only took them to The Championship before starting a two season game with Preston. Grand Assault's rating:

It wouldn't be fair to call a game your favourite without completing it at least twice a year! I remember a crowning achievement of taking on an all nighter to try and complete it in one go. I failed. Completed it through twice, played it to the end about 5 more. Grand Assault's rating:

What a truly epic game. I remember grand conquests with the Danes, the British, the Aragonese, the Byzantines (*spit*) and the Italians. I'm reckoning each successful campaign is at least thirty hours long. Doesn't even begin to account for skirmishes. Grand Assault's rating:

I completed this game through properly two times. Second time around I obtained every card, limit and magic possible. I remember maxing the clock out once. I was recently playing it through again but did not finish it. Grand Assault's rating:

I have completed this game through properly five times. Three of these times I went to the effort of maxing out all Materia, levels, limit breaks and items. Only once have I maxed the in-game clock to 99 hours, 99 minutes. Grand Assault's rating:

I've estimated the amount of time I've spent on these games during my life. I've undoubtedly squandered a great portion of my youth on these bad boys, but I wouldn't change it for the world! I never even considered myself a heavy gamer... Helped by in-game clocks and my own general knowledge, the estimates are likely to be LESS than the amount of time I've actually spent on them. Hot damn. For the sadists, the total amount of time calculated from just these games alone works out as: 2944 hours (~122.5 days)
