1. Max Headroom (1987)
This show seemed like one of the coolest things I had ever seen. Max Headroom is a show that's difficult to explain in a few words. This show was cancelled after only a few episodes, but I watched the repeats whenever they would come on.

2. Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future (1987)
This show came out when I was very young, and I loved it! This is a four year old's dream. The world is a desolate war zone covered in robots. Humans live underground and battle robots in high tech power suits. I went crazy for this show as a kid! It may seem dated now, but at the time, it was the most visually stunning thing I had ever seen. And the show itself was interesting.

3. Forever Knight (1992)
Forever Knight was a show about a detective who was also a vampire. It was pretty good stuff, and I had a lot of fun watching it. The show ran for a few seasons, and the story never concluded.

4. Parker Lewis Can't Lose (1990)
This was a really funny show that I had a lot of fun watching. The characters were great, and the show had a lot of great quirks. It lasted two seasons before being cancelled.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 1  Average listal rating (1 ratings) 7  IMDB Rating 7.7
5. Great Scott! (1992)
Great Scott! was a show starring Tobey Maguire in 1992. It only had 13 episodes before being cancelled. Much of the episodes took place in Scott's mind, and the show was a lot of fun.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 96  Average listal rating (69 ratings) 6.4  IMDB Rating 6.9
6. Earth 2 (1994)
Earth 2 was a show about a group of people who travel by space to an earth like planet light years away from their original homes. This was a really good show, and I was pretty angry when I learned the show was cancelled.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 10  Average listal rating (6 ratings) 8  IMDB Rating 8.2
7. Strange Luck (1995)
Strange Luck was another 90's show on Fox that wasn't given a fair chance. It was an unusual show about a photographer that continually got into strange situations. I was really into this show, but it didn't last.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 13  Average listal rating (11 ratings) 6.1  IMDB Rating 6.3
8. Total Recall 2070 (1999)
Total Recall 2070 was an interesting show that blended elements from Blade Runner with the Total Recall universe. The two lead characters were cops, one human, and one android. It was cancelled after only one season.

Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 132  Average listal rating (85 ratings) 6.7  IMDB Rating 8.6
9. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. (1993)
Brisco County Jr. was an unusual western that included science fiction and supernatural elements. Bruce Campbell was great in this show, and it seemed like it had a lot of potential. It only lasted one season, and I was really disappointed when it was cancelled.

Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 26  Average listal rating (16 ratings) 6.6  IMDB Rating 7.8
10. Kindred: The Embraced (1996)
Alright, I'll admit that this vampire show wasn't that great. But, eight episodes is not nearly enough time to decide whether a show should be cancelled. The last episode shown had just started to pick up some momentum when there was no more show.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 20  Average listal rating (16 ratings) 7.8  IMDB Rating 8.2
11. Brimstone (1998)
Brimstone was an interesting show about a cop brought back from the dead, on a mission to return escaped souls back to hell. If that doesn't sound like a great premise to a show, there's no such thing. Only thirteen episodes were made, but I think only 8 episodes aired.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 115  Average listal rating (78 ratings) 6.9  IMDB Rating 7.7
12. Space: Above and Beyond (1995)
Space: Above and Beyond was an excellent show that lasted only one season. It followed a group of marine pilots as they went through training in order to fight a mysterious alien race that threatened earth's colonies. I really loved this show.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 35  Average listal rating (28 ratings) 5.8  IMDB Rating 7.3
13. Ned and Stacey (1995)
Ned and Stacey was a funny show about two people that got married in order to get a promotion, and a really great apartment. Wait a minute? Isn't that really similar to Will and Grace, but years earlier and a lot funnier?
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 9  Average listal rating (6 ratings) 7.2  IMDB Rating 6.7
14. War of the Worlds (1988)
The War of the Worlds TV show was an interesting mix between the original movie storyline and new material. The show lasted two seasons, and the aliens actually freaked me out as a kid.

15. Firefly (2002)
By now, you've probably all heard of Firefly. It was cancelled after only thirteen episodes. This very good show brought on an even better movie to conclude the story.
Joseph Grey's rating:

People who added this item 440  Average listal rating (292 ratings) 7.4  IMDB Rating 8.4
16. Farscape (1999)
Farscape is one of the best shows ever made. It's a beautiful dramatic story with amazing characters. It was cancelled after four seasons. Afterwards, producers made a movie in order to conclude the story.
Joseph Grey's rating:

This is a list of some of the shows I watched that were cancelled. Some of these shows were truly groundbreaking and interesting. Some were just fun and entertaining. Some good lists have been made about cancelled shows, but I'm going to focus on the shows I liked, and really miss.

I loved Parker Lewis and Brisco County, Jr. too. I knew Captain Power had toys that came with videos, but I don't think I ever saw the actual show. Totally forgot about Forever Knight, which I recall enjoying somewhat.

Nicely done!

Ah, I remember Farscape XD
No one my age at the time liked that show though.

I loved Space Above and Beyond. The problems with a lot of these shows are: 1) they're sci-fi and traditionally take a lot of time and money to get any audience traction, 2) FOX produced a lot of them when they didn't have any money, and 3)the others were syndicated or made in Canada and didn't get a lot of exposure.

Good list. I'd add Sliders to this as well. It seems that the only initially struggling show that FOX gave a chance too was the X-files.

Farscape. Yes! I loved Firefly, but Farscape is the SciFi show I'd most like to see more of.

I loved Parker Lewis and Firefly!! Never seen Great Scott! and Total Recall 2070, they look good!

I had totally forgotten about Forever Knight. That was a good show. I loved Max Headroom and wasn't very happy when it was cancelled. Another show Bruce Campbell did that I loved was Jack of All Trades. He is wonderful and quite funny. Firefly I found out about after I saw Nathan Fillion in Castle. I have Firefly on DVD. Total Recall 2070 sounded interesting.

Excellent list! One of my favourite cancelled TV shows was Vanishing Sons. It had so much potential.
