The title of the list is a bit confusing because it gives the impression that the films on the list are still not understood or appreciated but you happen to love them. Some of the films are disputable - have they really been underrated or not (like Funny Games, Easy Rider, To Live and Die in L.A., Triplets of Belleville)?

To Lamourhaaja: I've noticed a few times, you get really confused by simple lists that are based on people's opinions. It's not confusing, these lists aren't based on scientific research. They are created by your peers and for you to enjoy, not question whether they are correct or not. We have an opinion, you have an opinion. In cinema no one person is claiming they own the "correct" opinion. Please understand this. Thank you.

The point isn't about having an opinion. I figure Lamourahaaja ment my title of the list seems too universal while the films in it are quite simply my own personal choises, lacking some truly underrated films I haven't seen or am not familiar with. The title is misleading, I agree, and I do get Lamourhaaja's point right. Adding some text about these films being just purely from a personal view would've helped understanding the list "goal", so to say, but at the time I didn't find that necessary. Let's face it - the title is how it is just to get more intrest from other users. ;)

Yes, thank you The Wolf, Stehako got my point as the exact opposite of what I meant with it.

The list would be more interesting even if you had one word for each item: underrated, overlooked or misunderstood according to which you think applies.

I've thought about it a few times, but never had the time bother.

whatever the purpose of the list it is a fine collection of films. i'll give Sean Penn's Indian Runner a shot. hell it's not that big of a risk, it does have Bronson and Viggo in it.

What is "20 Fingers" about? I guess I will have to follow this thread to imdb.com to get the low down. I'm intrigued by the poster and generally enjoy foreign and/or independent films. I am not, however, a fan of squinting at subtitles. "Can I get an Amen fellow old people ?!?"

A fairly interesting list, and many titles I haven't seen. The only one I would strongly disagree with is The Blair Witch Project. It had huge fanfare, and was a failure on multiple levels. The only thing it has going is it was a unique approach to movie making at the time. But that does not make it any of the O/u/m categories. It was simply a poor excuse for a horror movie.
