Shocked? I really haven't seen this controversial romantic epic. It's always fun to point out to people in conversations that I haven't seen it, and if I watch this, I couldn't do that anymore.

Ozu is also one of those directors whose films I haven't had a chance to watch. This might be a good one to start.

^Mutta on kuulemma melko luokaton DVD-julkaisu. Omaa kokemusta ei tosin ole, mutta esim. leffatykissä juuri tuota discshopista saatavaa julkaisua on haukuttu.

^^Jep, olen tässä funteerannut maksaako itsensä kipeäksi Criterion julkaisusta vai ostaako halvalla joku paskajulkaisu. Extrojen määrällä ei sinänsä ole väliä, mutta olen kuullut tuossa julkaisussa itse elokuvankin olevan pätkitty.

^^^Itse omistan tuon Universalin painoksen, ruotsiversion tosin, ja ainakin IMDB sanoo jotain sinnepäin, että suomijulkaisut on leikelty toisin kuin ruotsalaiset. Toisaalta taas molempien pituuksiksi ilmoitetaan 84 min. ja kummatkin ovat Universalin samanlaisia versioita että todennäköisimmin ne on kumpikin pätkittyjä, sääli. Uskoisin kuitenkin että sellainen ainakin tilapäisesti käy kun hitankin on noin alhainen, mä ainakin diggasin siitä ihan kympillä ja kuuluu muutenkin mun suosikkileffoihin, että suosittelisin ostamaan sen ja sitten mahdollisesti myöhemmin Criterionin mikäli siitä pidät.

Citizen Kane on muuten esimerkiksi Levykauppa Äxässä 11,90€ ja saa sitä Discshopistakin.

E: CDONissa näköjään kympillä.

^Selvä, niin mä taidankin tehdä. Muokkailin noita describtioneita että niistä saa vähän enemmän irti nyt. CDONista taidan sitten kun sieltä on jotain muutakin tilattavaa pölliä tuon Citizen Kanenkin, hih. Kiitokset neuvoista.

Tohtori Outolemmen löytää CDON:sta kympillä, tosin voihan sen briteiltäkin tilata. Myös HP&R:stä löytää pätevän julkaisun CDON:sta, eikä hintakaan päätä huimaa. Kantsii ostaa toi The Spaghetti Western collection kahdella kympillä. Sisältää kolme Leonen pätkää: HP&R, Vain muutaman dollarin tähden ja A Fistful of Dynamite.

^Itelläni myös tuo Spaghetti Western Collection ja laadukkaaksi todettu. Brittiversiossa on kai FoD:n tilalla A Fistful of Dollars(?).

Taidampa itsekin tehdä tällaisen listan.

This list used to be "top10 most wanted to watch" -list, but I thought it would be fun to embarrass myself by making these holes in my general film knowledge public. I'll update the list whenever I watch one of these films and replace it with another film I need to see. Have fun laughing at my ignorance! Alphabetically arranged.

Comments will probably be added later on. Right now I'm recovering from a horrible hangover and don't have the energy to write them, plus my English is really rusty.
