After transcribing the NMEs Top 100 albums of the last decade list, I didn't realise it would be such a popular topic. Now, every music blog, radio station and magazine seems to want to chip in their two cents and tell us what we should've adored musically over the last ten years.

Instead of posting a list for each, I'm going to chelate their results together and give the overall top twenty albums of the decade, as voted for by journalists!

Scoring: The scoring is simple
1st place finish = 20 points
2nd place finish = 19 points
3rd place finish = 18 points
...and so on.

Bonus points:
Each album will receive a bonus point for the number of lists it appears on. If an item is on three lists, it will receive three bonus points.

Tie-break:
If the points are still tied, the average listing position will be calculated from the lists it appeared on.
