Note : I rent it on video back then because I thought that Vanilla Ice was cool (give me a break... I was twelve years old!!!). Anyway, in spite of my young age, I was still able to figure out that it was a huge piece of turd... The worst of the worst!
Note : Back then, I was 14 years old and I was a little over my Jean-Claude van Damme period but being a big Street Fighter fan, I had to see it in the movie theater... What a terrible experience! One of the wortst movies I have ever seen...
Note : To make an even worse movie than the first installment is really an achievement. The story is completely boring, the jokes are pathetic nnd the whole thing look awful (I'm sure they spent a lot of money but it didn't help, I'm afraid...).
Note : The whole thing was just terrible and on every level (directing, acting, story, dialogs,...). If Ed Wood was still making movies today, it would probably look better than this. It was just ridiculous and I laughed my ass off the whole way through.
Note : I have a 4 years old daughter and she wanted to see this. So I put it on and, to my surprise, Danny De Vito was in the opening credits so I thought "Let's give it a try!". Boy, that was a mistake... The only reason it doesn't get the lowest score it's because it is movie for kids but even though it's completely worthless...
Note : I watched it because there was Alec Baldwin in it and because I thought it could be nice for my step-son... Again, huge mistake! Very very vey bad...
Note : It was so bad ! I remember when it came out in France. It was a huge success and everybody went to see this movie. Everybody except me. My gut was telling me it was big pile of horses..t. So I didn't go. For months, I had to hear all the comments about this movie ("This is great !" "You have to see it !",...) . After 6 months, a friend convinced me and I finally saw it on video (no DVD back then...). I was completely stoned out of mind which didn't help. After 10 minutes, there was the first real dialog and it sounded so bad , I thought it was fake and I thought someone was comploting against me... Real panic and a complete tragedy ! Anyway it was really really bad... and they made 3 sequels !!!
Note : I have seen a few Hilary Duff flicks (don't ask me why...) but it is easily the worst one... If you're a 12 year old girl, it may be bareable, who knows ?!? Otherwise, you'd better avoid this one.
Note : Uwe Boll's (bad) reputation was growing each year as the worst director around so I was really getting curious about his work so I had to watch one of his movies. Oh, my god... I wasn't disappointed or maybe the opposite, I was very disappointed, depends how you put it... Anyway, Uwe Boll really deserves the title of "Worst movie director alive"....
Note : After watching 'Ed Wood', I was really curious about this movie. I expected it to be pretty average but it was just terrible, not even funny terrible, but just plain terrible...
Note : It was not better or worse than the first one which is one of the worst movie ever... If you wonder why I keep watching those worthless movies, check underneath...
Note : It was so lame... Bad story, bad acting, very very average action scenes...You may wonder why I watched the 3 Taxi movies if I hate them so much... Good question ! The point is that I'm a big Marion Cotillard fan and I try to see everything she is in it. The funniest part is that she's completely under-used in all 3 movies...
Note : Why on Earth did I watch this piece of crap?!? There's not even Marion Cotillard in it... My step-son is crazy about sequels (no comment...) and really wanted to see it, that's why...
Note : I have nothing against Jessica Simpson and she did look pretty good but, oh boy, she is just an awful actress. It didn't help that the story was stupid, boring and completely unbelievable.
Note : This movie has been directed by the Master of Crap, Uwe Boll !! Where should I start ? First of all, they should have call it "The Lord of the rings : The Remake" because it is a total rip-off and a bad one ! I'm not gonna mention all the similarities because it will take forever but if you see this movie, you'll see what I mean. The biggest surprise is that the cast has a quite few decent actors (Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, John Rhys-Davies, Ron Perlman, Claire Forlani, Kristanna Loken, Matthew Lillard, Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds...). What were they thinking ?!? They have never heard of him before ?!? Why would you jeorpardize your career by working with this guy ?!? I hope, at least, that the money was good... Finally, to conclude, the biggest flaw is that it is so damn boring... I thought it would never end.
Note : In the Netherlands, there is a real market for Dutch movies for kids. There are usually very succesful but most of the time actually very average. This one is probably the worst one I have seen.
Note : What a terrible movie! It is basically a very bad remake of Dirty Dancing (which I'm not really fond of to start with). The dancing sequences are pretty cool but the story is weak, the dialogs are just laughable and the performnances by the whole cast are just very poor.
Note : There are about 3 story lines (The lead is a high-school football star, the lead is a great violin player, the lead is almost deaf...) and none of those story lines are developped correctly. It is a terrible and boring movie and you should definitely avoid it.
Note : I have found this DVD for 1 euro and I thought why not ? There is Keanu Reeves in it! What a mistake... Just a very bad Flashdance rip-off( bare in mind that Flashdance was already an average movie) ... Avoid at all costs !!!
Note : It features Brad Pitt's first lead role which was the main reason why I wanted to watch this flick. And how was it eventually? Pretty bad, actually... The directing is really laughable, the dialogs are pretty often ridiculous, the acting is terrible as well (it is quite difficult to believe that Brad Pitt would become an impressive actor twenty years later!) and the story doesn't really captivate you whatsoever.
Note : Back in the 90's, I watched the first Street Fighter flick and it immediatly became one of the worst movies I have ever seen. So, almost 20 years later, I watch another Street Fighter flick (I know... It is borderline masochism!) and guess what? It was pretty bad as well... I mean, not as bad as the Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle but still pretty horrendous.
Note : My wife made me watch this... Everybody wonders why almost no Dutch people watch Dutch movies. This movie is good example why. A totally uninteresting and boring story with a bunch of soap stars. Just terrible.
Note : My step-son loves The Mask (I think it's a cool movie too) and he loves sequels (Don't ask me why...)... so we had to watch this movie... Anyway, I was curious to see if it was that bad. It is that bad...
Note : Being a fan and having 3 kids, I watch a lot of animated movies. Unfortunately, some are just so bad. This one is just a bad Finding Nemo rip-off...
Note : I didn't really like the first one already but this one was even worse! I watched it because I like Milla Jovovich but she wasn't able to save this disaster!
Note : I watched this because there is Drew Barrymore in it (a very small part) and I was curious to see what was the fuss about with this movie. There are a few good things (honestly...) but they are completely lost in a vast ocean of not funny/stupid/despicable/nauseacting/awfull ideas (I don't dare use the word "jokes" here...)...
Note : When I started to watch obsessively movies (I was about 12 years old), I first loved action movies and Van Damme was one of my favorite actor. At the end of this period, I saw this movie at the Movie Theater and it was definitely Van Damme worst effort. Imagine him playing a romantic lead... It was the first time I felt so disappointed by a movie...
Note : During my young years (see above), I watched everything with Van Damme and I watched this because he was on the cover. A terribly bad movie and, at 12 years old, the first time I felt ripped-off by a movie(Van Damme is only 10 minutes in the movie).
Note : It was just terrible. I guess if you are big motocross fan you may enjoy this movie. But as I'm not a motocross fan, I just found it was very very boring and just plain bad.
Note : When it came out, it was very popular but I didn't went to go at all but after 2 weeks, a friend convinced me and we saw it at the movie theater. I was completely stoned and the movie theater was packed and everybody was laughing. Except me... I had this strange feeling that they were all against me or something... Anyway, I remember half way through the movie, there was this joke that you have seen like 100 hundreds time in the trailer and it was really this stupid joke. I could count in my head that ,in 5 seconds, everybody will laugh like crazy... 1...2...3...4...5 !! BOUM !!! and it was like a big wave of laughs coming over me.... and I was thinking "Am I the only who think it stinks ?" It was just terrible...
Note : What was George Lucas thinking with this piece of sh*t ?!? I'm pretty sure he needed some dough and thought he found his new cash cow. No way, this may be the worst comic-book adapatation ever...
Note : All those movies involving animals doing any kind of sports are usually worthless (I'm no expert though...) but this one is really the worst one...
Note : I consider the first movie one of the most overrated movies ever made so I wasn't really expecting much before watching this 'prequel'... Oh boy... It was just terrible...
Note : I was just a kid when I saw this one... Back then, I understood you could watch a comedy without a single laugh throughout the whole thing... Quite an experience...
Note : Ralph Fiennes, Sean Connery, Uma Thurman,... seems to be a pretty nice cast, right? And The Avengers was a pretty good TV-show, right ? It shouldn't be a problem to make a decent adaptation....WRONG !!!!! It's just a terrible mess....
It seems quite interesting but honestly I haven't seen any Airport movie (yet)... So I won't have much to say! But which one is the best according to you ?
"Godzilla" is probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I actually haven't seen a lot of these. You should've added "Congo," "Date Night," "Casper's Scare School," and "Titanic Animated." Well, that's if people even KNOW about the last two! lol
I like The Birdcage, Hot Shots! Part Deux, and Bean. LOVE The Kentucky Fried Movie. I'm guessing we differ due to a difference in sense of humor. I've never thought Howard the Duck is as terrible as everyone else does, but then I haven't seen it since the early '90s (could also be because I expected it to be terrible). The rest of these I either didn't see or didn't like.
Showgirls, Cutting Class, Plan 9, Kentucky Fried Movie, Cobra, and No Retreat No Surrender are all entertaining as hell! Big fan of all of them. But yeah most on here are god awful. If you want truly bad I suggest you see Troll 2, Undefeatable, Deadly Prey Samurai Cop, and The Room :)
@ Lost in my mind. I actually liked Cloverfield so I won't add it to this list but do you really think it was one of the worst movie ever made ?!? It seems a little harsh...
Oh god, why did you have to remind me of My Little Pony: The Movie?! It took most the majority of my younger childhood years to erase that from my memory xD
They actually did a remake of The Blue Lagoon?? - What on earth for?
I have not seen many of these, and for that I am grateful -
I did see Pluto Nash and agree that of all Eddie Murphy's stink bombs, it might be the worst -
and 25 years later I still have no words for Howard The Duck except that it's good the whole Star Wars thing worked out for George Lucas.
Damn johan! If I didn't know that you've also seen TONS of great, timeless masterpieces from various eras, cultures, and genres of film I'd think you were the silliest guy around. Honestly, I don't know how you do it...
@Xanadon't, from to time to time, it is pretty funny and surreal to watch a bad movie (most of the time it is still a waste of time though...). Furthermore, I have been watching those movies during the last 20 years so they have been spread out...
Have you seen or heard of the Nostalgia Critic from ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.com ? He's reviewed Street Fighter (which I consider to be a guilty pleasure), The Avengers, Howard the Duck, and Cool as Ice! You should check his stuff out! He's HILARIOUS!
I'm so thankful that I haven't seen many of these - you definitely dug deep. I submit for your consideration 1978's 'Matilda' as a worst movie (a boxing kangaroo, seriously):

See? HORRIBLE. Here's another list of the worst movies of all time that I liked:
Putting on a misunderstood masterpiece like "Freddy Got Fingered" (a film very much in vein of avant garde masterpieces like "Gummo") on the same list is "Rollerball" and "Howard the Duck"is os outrigh offensive
Street Fighter would fit in the category of "so bad it's good" for me. The writing is filled with cheese but that's part of its charm.
The undisputed king of films belonging in this ilk would be Tommy Wiseau's "masterpiece": The Room. Every aspect of that picture is poorly done but silly laugh riots ensue whenever I see it. Not all films have to be great art for it to be entertaining, I can appreciate some trash every once in awhile.
Dumb and Dumberer is a bad film period, with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
^ Dude, you're dignifying a person who thinks Shaq Fu is a good game and a minimalist composer to be the greatest of all "Classical" music. Just thought I'd let you know.
You should rewatch Street Fighter though, Raul Julia is hilarious in it. There's this extended comedy scene where he's trying to pay a bad guy with ridicilous methods such as using his own Bison Pounds or something. They'll be good cash... WHEN HE KIDNAPS THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND.
@Johan: No personal qualms against you, but as much as I respect your opinions and tastes, you should try to do that to others... so what he likes Freddy Got Fingered? so what he called it a masterpiece!
Leave it at that... everyone has his/her own tastes and views and one should not get offensive or aggressive... next time someone writes a thing like that either ignore it if you can't handle it or straight-away delete it! There are people still out there who consider The Godfather to be the shittiest film ever made... now that's personal taste right there. So you gotta try to accept and live with that!
You added Street Fighter, a film I consider to be one of the OK, good movies but nowhere near worst but I didn't say anything on that because I respect your opinions and arguing would only show that I'm an ignorant slob!
Disagreements and arguments are fine so long as it's handled with a measure of civility and no personal attacks are involved. I generally respect people with different opinions than mine (even radical) but mainly those based on a degree of substance and ones I can learn from. I think people should be more outspoken and forthcoming with their viewpoints otherwise society will be seriously trapped in a hive-minded system.
@johanlefourbe No, there a differences between those two versions, the American version had pop culture references, bad humour and moose flatulence/talking, I'M DEAD SERIOUSLY,
@Ixaac Marshall, do you mean you have seen both versions?!? The only difference would be in the dubbing, a part from that, they are identical. Anyway, I have only seen the original European version (thank God for that...) and I won't watch the US version just to make sure you're wrong...
I've only seen 15 of these and, out of those, the only one I disagree with you on is In the Name of the King; it's not great (I know) but I enjoy fantasy & period piece films of this nature and I like Statham.
As for the rest, I would probably need to be paid to watch them...and I truly do not understand the Taxi phenomenon. Why all the sequels when the first film was trash?
NOTE: I have seen Dante's Peak again and you're right! It's not so bad so I removed it.
Some of them (like Showgirls, Plan 9, Kentucky Fried Movie) are still enjoyable in some weird/twisted/mascochistic way...
Damn, You Got More Guts Than I Do... I Didnt Even Survive The First 5 Minutes Of It.... LOL!
I like Mr.Bean but.. well, nice list :)
I have not seen many of these, and for that I am grateful -
I did see Pluto Nash and agree that of all Eddie Murphy's stink bombs, it might be the worst -

Combining yours and theirs would be epic!

I guess you are the kind of person who, when he sees an (actual) piece of turd displayed in a museum, thinks 'Oh my God! This is so avant-garde!!!'.
Love that scene.
