The Good Son (1993)
What makes this review so unique is that Doug doesn't talk throughout because he lost his voice. So he used cue cards and subtitles. That's what makes it so refreshing. I think Doug being silent perfectly fits the mood of the movie. And of course, silence is golden. I would love to see Doug do something like that in the near future for a film that is really bad. But it's a shame he won't likely use that technique again because it wasn't popular with everyone.

Blank Check (1994)
Throughout the review until the very end, Doug dicusses the film in a calm and sarcastic manner on how it's filled with dull, bland, and tired clich├ęs. I wasn't that blown away at first, but as I watch the review more and think about it, it starts to grow on me.

Doug did the entire review, dressing up as Raoul Puke, a parody of Raoul Duke from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I thought that appropriately fits for that kind of movie, since it's screwed up, has filler, and makes little to no sense.

This is one of few reviews posted in 2010 that I actually enjoyed, and it deserves more recognition. I thought it had enough good material and laughs to make it worth watching. One of my favorite moments is when Doug compares Maurice to Beetlejuice, Drop Dead Fred, and even the blue Genie from Aladdin, since they all fit in the category of supernatural fast-talking dickheads. And the interesting part: this Doug's third worst movie he has ever reviewed. It surprised me because he didn't seem that pissed off compared to Bio-Dome, Felix the Cat, and Garbage Pail Kids.

Surf Ninjas (1993)
This review is genius. Why? Because throughout the review, Doug sarcastically calls every bad scene genius. But it wasn't until the end where he finally admits, "It's the most god-awful piece of retroshit I have ever seen!"

The only downside, however, is he didn't have to bring up that he should have placed the death of Optimus Prime from Transformers: The Movie in The Top 11 Saddest Nostalgic Moments. Why? Because that's his opinion, and there was no need to feel apologetic over a lessor opinion. But most importantly, it's NOT a f***up at all.

Commando (1985)
This is the kind of movie that Doug should review if he's going to do a positive NC review. It has a lot to make fun of, plenty of material, and can make the movie even more fun to watch. I wasn't fully fond of the reivew at first. But ever since he unnecessarily reviewed Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Total Recall (1990), and Jurassic Park, I appreciate it even more.

Unlike Jurassic Park and Total Recall, the flaws in this movie are bigger and more legit. Doug reviewing universally loved movies aren't nearly as fun to watch compared to his negative and guilty pleasure reviews. Films like that usually don't have enough to make fun of, unless if it's someone like Cinema Sins. And thanks to Doug's badly executed jokes and forced memes, it could spoil the fun when you watch the actual film again. But that doesn't affect films like Commando. Even after watching the NC review, you can still watch the movie without the fun being ruined.

Airborne (1993)
This review is funny than more people realize. There's plenty to make fun of in this film, due to it being a 90's cheesefest and its protagonist who has a fetish for surfing and rollarblading. Some of my favorite parts are Doug's reaction to the questionable scene where they showed a kid with a head braces and that fashion montage. Although I kinda wish 90's Kid (Lewis Lovhaug would make a cameo and say "DUDE! The 90's ARE like that, man!"

Steel (1997)
Almost every joke in this review works. Oh, and I love Doug's Shaq impersonations. It's just so funny. I also liked his reaction towards a bar that generically advertises "Beer."

He also did the first movie, but it's part 2 that there was more to make fun of. One of my favorite parts of the review is Doug's reaction to the one line by Benjamin, where it's like he said "f***ing."

Alaska (1996)
This is one of the few reviews that Doug's brother Rob had no writing involvement. But this is a surprisingly good review, given how the film is mean-spirited and makes no logic sense. There's also Charles Heston's over-the-top acting.

Junior (1994)
It didn't leave much impact on me when I first saw it. But as time went on and the more I think about it, it starts to grow on me. I can understand why people don't like this review, and even Doug and Rob weren't satisfied how it turned out. But what does make this review worth while is Doug's reaction to Baby Arnold (very creepy and disturbing) and the Boring Song.

A list of reviews by NC that I like, but also gets overlooked by many people, and it's not much talked about.

Honorable Mentions:

*Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2
*Simon Sez

I agree with you on "Blank Check". The humor in the review is very subtle, and I find it funnier every time I watch it.

As for "Surf Ninjas", let's just say I have watched the review at least 15-20 times. =p

One review of his I find underrated is Follow that Bird. I just think it's a funny idea, seeing NC try to rip into something in his childhood, but realizing he can't because he's to attached it and eventually breaks down and gives up the review. Others may not like it cause thy wanted to see a whole review, but I thought it was funny in it's unpredictability.
