Sequel To: Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
A lot of people have already said it, but I'm going to reiterate the sentiment for the sake of my case: if Crystal Skull was released in the early-mid '90s and was exactly the same (except digital technologies of the time were used), there would not be any nitpicking. I believe the problem is that with updated technology and film stock of the "digital" era, the film looks out-of-place when compared to its brilliant predecessors. I admit that, yes, it is a bit over-the-top, but I enjoyed the hell out of this movie and I shall remain a Crystal Skull apologist forever.
You're right, they aren't terrible, but none of those are very good either though. Most of them are more of the same (like Die Hard, Indiana Jones, Home Alone, Lost World), but Spiderman 3 was quite obviously far worse than the other two movies. Mainly that's because Spiderman 1 and 2 were really good.
Jurassic Park 3 did worse than Lost World both critically and financially, Home Alone 4 is worse than the other 3, Crystal Skull got a rating of 77% and Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
This is the second time you've epically failed while commenting on one of my lists. You have delusions of grandeur if you think Home Alone 2, The Lost World and Crystal Skull are universally accepted as being excellent sequels.
Great list. Okay I don't care for SCARY MOVIE 4, but I genuinely agree with CRYSTAL SKULL (seriously I maybe can get some people's disappointment, even if I wasn't, but the extreme venom used against it baffles me. It's a lot of fun), DIE HARD 2, and SPIDER-MAN 3. Again, great job.
