My ultimate favourite. (I think.) But still, cannot really choose between TR III and this ^^'' I don't really have a reason why I love these so much, but maybe it's because they have so many good levels imo. And they're all over the world, not just in one country etc. I really loved the young Lara level in this. Had some great horror elements. Anyways, I like all the levels in this (well maybe not the last one...)
My second shared #1. This game just has great classic feel to it. And I love her outfits in this. Loved the jungle (India, South Pacific) levels the most :) The only level that I actually hated, was the London levels...
This is the Lara that I know, and what she should've stayed as.
The game IS beautiful. Especially on PS3 version (which I have).
Basically, a remake of the first Tomb Raider. With the exception of some levels, this game is very enjoyable and playable. And it still has the "classic" Lara, even though she has changed A LOT.
MANY TR fans hate this one. I can see why. (Don't like it much, either.) THEY CHANGED THE LARA CROFT WE KNEW AND LOVED. And they brought a new playable character in it. Yeah I know, it's kind of okay, but... These are Lara's adventures. Not some other's. This is a playable game, alright, but not one the best ones... But what's with the ONE PISTOL thing?!
Well... Most people who like Tomb Raider, love this game. Especially.
I've never understood why. Maybe it's the reason why I hate (maybe not 'hate' but) this game: It's just too long. Too many levels.
And sometimes, they're too hard. Too tricky. And I got some traumas from this because I played it so young and got scared xD Also, too much sand.
Anyways, it's still better than the 'new TR'...
I do have to say that I still don't own this game myself.
Played it at a friend's house when I was a kid, but don't remember that much. It's just a bit too pixelated & old for my liking... Although I love the torso boss at the end. It was scary in this (original) unlike in Anniversary...
I like scary Tomb Raider. The Great Pyramid level was that.
