This time it's a "Harry Potter"- Meme
01: Fave bookMy favourite in the series is definitely the third.
First of all my favourite character makes his first appearance. Then it has Buckbeak, Lupin, more background story, a Time-Turner, the Marauder's Map... just so much stuff that's so ingenious it never will leave your head again. Kami-chan's rating:
02: Fave movieThe adaption to my fave HP book was a little bit darker than its 2 prequels. But not too much so it didn't get disturbing or depressing. Thrilling and outstandingly following the original plot. Great new casting choices.
Just the ending is stupid. (the freeze-frame at the end doesn't fit the film at all ô.o) Kami-chan's rating:
03: Disliked Adaptations
Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.
Everything following after the 4th film, to be honest.
'The Goblet of Fire' wasn't perfect but it was still very good. Then David Yates took over and everything went down the toilet. The 5th may be acceptable, but the 6th is just god-aweful for readers imo. With the 7th Yates at least tried again but still it couldn't quite convince me. After the 4th the most random, untrue things happen. Important things are left out, scenes lose their credibility and atmosphere or people/moments don't get the attention they deserve. I will never be content with this series but yet I enjoyed watching them somehow after all. Kami-chan's rating:
04: Least fave female CharaAt first that nerve-racking girl named Lavender Brown who called herself Ron's girlfriend for short period of time.
Always in the centre of attention and quite dumb. The other female is named Pansy Parkinson and was once Draco's girlfriend. She was simply described as very mean and unappealing and she never let the readers down concerning that fact. Kami-chan's rating:
05: Fave male chara06: Which house?
What house would you want to be in.
Ravenclaw.
Although I bet I wouldn't be smart enough but who knows. Although Gryffindor and Slytherin always seem to get all the attention and the other 2 houses are just extras. As a child my first answer without thinking to this was "Ravenclaw" and so I still go with that. They all seem nice in there. And blue's a pretty colour. Kami-chan's rating:
07: Fave female Chara08: Fave lessonMy favourite lesson would be Defense against the Dark Arts and probably also Charms.
Kami-chan's rating:
09: Least fave male CharaVernon Dursley.
Disgusting and nasty. Never contributing a single good or witty thing. Therefore, there's no reason to like him. Kami-chan's rating:
10: Horcruxes or Hallows?None.
Well, splitting one's soul isn't really what I call pleasant. So no horcruxes for me, I wouldn't practice illegal and inhuman acts. But I wouldn't want to to carry the burden of carrying valuable items as the hallows with me as well. At least not all three. I don't care about the stone or the wand. The cloak might come in handy but I'd also rather pass on it. Kami-chan's rating:
11: Character of Similarity
What character would you say you are most like.
I had no idea so I just did a Compatibility test and my results were the following:
"You Scored as Remus Lupin You're a calm, cool, optimistic person who doesn't dwell on the bad but looks more deeply into the good. You're wise and know much about the world, and though you teach your lessons to others, react humbly when complimented on your intelligence. You've suffered a lot in your life but are extremely accepting of it all and suffer inwardly. You're a great friend to have as you're gentle and caring." Interesting. ô.o These tests.., always trying to compliment you as much as possible. xD But it's cool. Lupin is an awesome character! :D Kami-chan's rating:
12: Fave Ship13: Least fave movie. The sixth film must be by far the worst of the whole series. Rushed ad nauseaum, abstruse, illogical and unneccessary story parts (leading to some plot holes) and just the lack of passion and effort.
Film adaptions always change a few things but it's not acceptable when it doesn't make sense any more. At least Draco got a little more 'air time'. Kami-chan's rating:
14: Team Voldermort or Team Harry?Haha, I find this whole 'Team'-idea very questionable.
Let's say: I'd rather join forces with the Non-deatheaters because I do not approve of mass murder, torture and world destruction and domination. But I still think 'Voldi'- I use that nickname loosely- was always a very creepy but cool and impressive character. Kami-chan's rating:
15: Friends at Hogwarts
Who would be your best friends at hogwarts. (three only)
If I could I'd go back to the times James Potter and Company. Then I'd definitely hang out with Remus, Sirius and Snape. Probably not at the same time but with each of them I'd be friends....D'aw okay the let's ignore the 'only 3'-criterion for a moment. I'd also hang out with Regulus!

16: Fave professor17: Thoughts on the Deathly Hallows MovieGeez, yeah...well.
The first part was after all entertaining. Yet it felt way too rushed and so many things were thrown in, I wondered if non-readers were ever to understand some of these because they are never explained properly again. The mood was nice though, fitting the setting of a dark force strengthening and overthrowing the world and an approaching finale. Then that finale was released and I really am kind of disappointed because I think it's a weak and underwhelming ending of such a giant franchise. There were good scenes, but there was also a lot of OOCness, a lack of bombastic fights and way too little credit to some of the most important characters and most touching scenes. It wasn't a bad film but for the end of the end it was too little. Kami-chan's rating:
18: Least fave book.Actually I enjoyed them all very much!
If I really had to choose one, which isn't very easy, I'd probably go for the last one. The reason is the horrible epilogue. The whole 'Deathly Hallows' was a massive amount of epicness with a very satisfying ending. I didn't need and want to know what happens in 19 years. I have something called imagination and interpretation. A corny attachment hinders those. Kami-chan's rating:
19: Books or films?BOOKS! BOOKS! BOOKS!
They will always remain the superior for me. Just all the details one cannot put in the film... ♥ 20: Which cast member?
If you had to meet one member of the cast, who would it be.
Gary Oldman.
I love that actor. Barely because of the HP films but I'd just talk about some of his other films with him after shortly praising him for Harry Potter of course. ;) 21: Character Resurrection
Out of all the characters that died, if you could bring one back, who would it be.
There are a few that I'd really want to see back alive because I think Rowling killed way too many people off.
It's alright to show that times have changed and the situation is deadly serious but that was just too much and unneccessary. We got the idea. So anyway, I'd bring back either Lupin or Tonks , not just because I loved both of those characters but also because I think Ted needs a parent. Why does he have to end up the same way as Harry (although with better 'family' around)? Tonks or Lupin, ONE could have at least survived. It's so terrible for those two to part from the world after just having their first child. Cruel... Kami-chan's rating:
22: Harry Potter or Twilight?Let me make this clear.
In my humble opinion, Twilight is nothing compared to HP. And one actually shouldn't compare those two series. But the challenge demands... Harry Potter is written with so much love and the author has actually devoted herself with the things she's writing about. Stephenie Meyer just broaches the topics in her book. The story is repetitive and boring, the characters are all unlikeable and the author let's too much of her personal views flow in. An author can do that but as I am person who doesn't share her worldview and that makes the books even more unattractive to me. Harry Potter draws you in its own world, lets you build a connection with the characters and setting and still leaves room for your own opinion, interpretation or judgement. But that's just my opinion, so no flamin', you hear me? ;) 23: The Part that makes you cry
Any part of the books/movies that makes you cry.
The films didn't really manage to make me cry over a character or the like.
When reading the book that happened. Being still a few years younger, I really cried over Dumbledore in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince". 24: Additional Scene
Any particular scene you wished would have been put in the movie but it wasn’t.
So much, so indescribably much...
Most importantly Dumbledore's story, which was barely touched. A bit more information on the half-blood prince and his past in the 6th film would also have helped so that the finale revelation in the 7th wouldn't have been so out-of-nowhere and unfitting. It might have been a good idea to take a closer look at the actual title which says 'Harry Potter and the frickin' Half-Blood Prince... I'm getting cynical, I better stop now. ;P 25: Thoughts on the future
Nineteen years later. Are you happy how it turned out, or do you wish something was different, ie Neville married Luna.
I prefer to go without the whole annoying epilogue.
26: 1 Spell to perform
If you could be able to work one spell without a wand what would it be.
EXPECTO..PATROOOONUUUUUM!
I'd totally scream that, hihi. I wonder what shape my patronus would take~ ♥ And all that without a wand, that'd be incredible! (Instead of performing a useful spell d:) 27: Which Deathly Hallow?
Would you rather own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone or The Elder Wand.
The Invisibilty Cloak is the only thing I'd actually want if there was a situation that required it.
It's convenient and doesn't bring forth mayhem. 28: Wizard Wrock?
Do you listen to Wizard Wrock, what do you think about it.
Um, nothing. I just googled it.
Never heard of these people and I don't care. 29: Very Potter Musical?30: HP's meaning and effect
What affect has Harry Potter made on your life and how much does it mean to you
Harry Potter has accompanied me all my life. Already when I was in elementary school my mum read the first books to me and when I grew older and learned to read by myself I downright devoured the series. Harry Potter was always the most dreamlike world to escape to.
And of course, all the more sad I was when it was all over. The magical journey had come to end. But fortunately one can dive in again and again and lose oneself in the depths of the fantastical universe. For me it will always remain a timeless classic, yet one of many definitions of my childhood. And I will never read the book the same way as I did in the days back then. |
