I'm 110% positive no one ever said Eva the midget was tall. or Marilyn. actually I've never heard anyone ever say these women are tall so I dont get it.
and whaaa? 5'5 and 5'7 is NOT short at all, that's average. I'm 5'5 and not REMOTELY short. short is 5'4 and under, at the highest.
I don't know where you found that Mélanie Laurent was 1,52 meter tall but I can assure you that she's taller. I've seen her on stage in Paris and when I look on the web, she's said to be 1,60 meter tall.
186FleetStreet, you are *totally right* that women 5'4 or even 5'3 are *not* "short",the average American woman's height is 5'3 and a half.I used to be 5'4 and a half but I shrunk to 5'4 and nobody considers me to be short,a salsewoman once said to me,when I said so many of the pants are too long,(they are for women 5'9 like a fashion model),she said you're not short. My mother was kind of short she was only 5'2 as an adult.
If a woman is below 5'3 than she's considered short. So the women on your list here who are just 5 feet,or 5'1 and 5'2 *are* short. But did you know that beautiful actresses Judy Garland and Veronica Lake were both only 4'11 now that is very short!
Not all of these women can be considered short, which was one of the reasons I decided not to do a similar list recently... just not enough meat on this bone.
