Kitano's best movie is wonderful both as a cinematic experience as an emotional trip.
Otger's rating:
This may be the most beautiful road movie filmed in years. Joe Hisaishi's soundtrack is more than worthy.
Otger's rating:
Sonatine contains all the elements of Kitano's works (his themes, directional skills and that japanese "nonsensu" sense of humour)
Otger's rating:
His most comercial movie is a major achievement that everybody should watch.
Otger's rating:
A movie with a thin plot line, where the most important thing to watch here is what you feel in front of each scene. Unforgettable.
Otger's rating:
Kitano tries (and achieves) to create an artistical movie with a weird - but beautiful - plot.
Otger's rating:
A good mixture between drama and comedy about young people in Japan. Seems like a modern japanese version of Coppola's Rumble Fish or The Outsiders.
Otger's rating:
The first and only american movie is entertaining and intelligent. The plot is a perfect analogy with what Kitano did with this movie.
Otger's rating:
First Kitano's movie is a great show that already shows his directional skills.
Otger's rating:
Weird, rare, unique... is this movie art, or it's just Kitano laughin at us? Only watch this if you have watched all other Kitano's movies.
Otger's rating:
"nonsensu" humour, with some funny moments. It's an stupid movie... hell yeah!
Otger's rating:
Boring, and forgettable if you have watched other Kitano's movies. After this movie, Kitano sharpened everything that was lacking here.
Otger's rating:
Seems to be the same as "Takeshis". Nothing new here, and Kantoku Banzai it's not as funny.
