Herein you'll find what I consider to be the best movies of the 1970s that I have seen, arranged by both quality and how much I love each film. You'll also likely notice some that are missing, and in such cases either I haven't seen it or I saw it so long ago that a re-watch is necessary (or maybe I just saw it in the wrong mood).
Wow, you've covered a lot of ground here! I've only seen 31 of the 69 films, and a few so long ago they barely count (Mad Max, Five Easy Pieces, Close Encounters).
Great list, and nice to see some variation from the norm - even if it pains me to see Taxi Driver listed as a runner up ;)
Great range of films you have here. For the ones I've seen, I agree. I can see that there are also too many of the ones I've been meaning to watch for a lifetime now... Especially Dawn of the Dead has been on my want to watch list for ages, but I just can't get myself to watch it. And now that I've been watching The Walking Dead, I'm kinda liking the zombie theme. I find it to be quite fun to compare all the zombie flicks with my friend :D
Good to see Close Encounters so high among your favorites - I bought the extended version a few months ago but haven't got around to watching it thanks for the reminder :)
Alien, Dawn Of The Dead, Carrie and Dog Day Afternoon have all recently been added to my Favorites of the 70's - I still need to see Apocalypse Now and A Clockwork Orange, I also need to rewatch the Pink Panther movies at some point. The only movie on your list that I watched and didn't like at all was Five Easy Pieces.
Nice Choices!
Nice list, as usual.
There are some movies here that I haven't seen yet. The ones I have seen really are super. Altough there are two movies that i find great that aren't this list. Jabberwocky and Barry Lyndon. So if you haven't seen them, i deeply recommend

Oh and your image for House is creeping me out...
Well done sir!
