A man suffering from extreme insomnia hangs on the brink of life. His mind warped and reality altered by his inability to sleep. Bale rocks up another perfect performance.

The silent soulless murderer Kevin stalks his prey before ripping apart his victims with his finger nails and devouring them. Elijah Wood's normally baby blue eyes are transformed into a chilling heartless void.

Edward Cullen-
I guess the fact that he has been dead for over a hundred years helps to give Edward the detached soulless glare that is his tortured trade mark. Far worse for Edward than any other vampire though, is the fact that he is in love with a mortal; constantly torn between his love and equal desire to eat the girl of his dreams.

Lisa Rowe-
Psychopathic inmate Lisa, displays no attachment or empathy to those around her. Fulfilling only her own need and desires she easily manipulates the vulnerable around her.

Cold calculated, robotic killing machine from the future. Played to perfection with an unflinching glare as he slaughters young John Connor's adoptive mum, with a spike through the throat as he talks to the poor boy on the phone.

The Phantom-
The ultimate tortured soul. Living alone in the underworld of the opera house has not faired kindly on the Phantom. Then he finds inspiration, hope and love in the form of a young chorus girl Christine. Initially allured by the seductive nature of the dark phantom she later decides to live above ground with her childhood sweet heart.

A lifetime of abuse and neglect shines forth in Gerard Butler's eyes as he portrays the desperation and unrequited passion of The Phantom.
