"As a species we're fundamentally insane. Put more than two of us in a room, we pick sides and start dreaming up reasons to kill one another. Why do you think we invented politics and religion?"
"You know, the only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story, the ending. And this one... is very good. This one's perfect."
Based on the novella "Secret Window, Secret Garden" from 1990.
"In my dream the Lord came to me... It was He Who Walks Behind the Rows. I fell on my knees in terror, and hid my eyes, lest the fearfulness of His face strike me dead! He told me all that has since happened; He said, "Joseph has taken his things and fled this happy place, because the worship of Me is no more upon him. So take you his life, and spill his blood like water upon the earth! But let not his flesh pollute the corn; cast him instead upon the road."
Well done list! I'm really hot and cold when it comes to Stephen King. But I guess I've never actually READ him, so maybe that has something to do with my sometimes total lack of appreciation.
okay only a few issues 1408 should be higher on the list the movie has that classic stephen king feel, and it's just an interesting story through the paranormal.
Running man should be the worst of all the adaptations, the book is so entertaining that when i saw the movie I was angry with the 80's future punk style they went with, and the fact that they changed the way the game was done all together.
other wise I agree with you on all other aspects although i haven't seen creepshow or dolan's cadillac but you forgot Stand By Me Based on the novella "the body" in stephen king's collection Different Seasons.
Really good list, i would say "the stand" was the worst film adaptation, since it was his best book by far. I would say the "Green Mile" was the best film adaptation, because it was exactly like the book. but my favorite Stephen King movie would have to be The Shining.
ummm...how about The Dead Zone? I didn't read the book and the movie wasn't spectacular, but it was good and had Martin Sheen and Christopher Walken.
Maybe you're talking movie adaptations...The Stand tv series wan't that great but I liked it a lot when I first saw it. My friend thought Molly Ringwald was a terrible choice for Frannie.
I love Stephen King (we live in the same city), I wish he had more A-list movies made instead of c-list like It and Pet Sematary. The books are sooooo much better.

Great List
