These movies are on my list of want to watch. So please can you tell me what you think, are there any movies that I should not watch or some that are missing from my list? It would be really helpful if you leave a comment, you could spare me the torture of watching a bad movie!
In the second section, I added the movies that were on my list but that I have watched and I give my opinion about it
The Cat Returns - Great
Wayne's World - Good
A Clockwork Orange - Ok
Corpse Bride - Not worth watching
2001 - Boring
Spirited Away - Boring
Up in the Air - Boring
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - Shit
The Lovely Bones - Shit
I've seen a fair few others but haven't rated them yet.
Just Like Heaven and V for Vendetta to memory are good.
You should definitely watch: World According to Garp, V for Vendetta, Up in the Air, Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, Spirited Away, The Jungle Book, Psycho, The Prestige, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Moulin Rouge, Inception, Ferris Bueller, Eternal Sunshine, Princess Bride, Big Fish, American Beauty, Aliens, and A Clockwork Orange.
Worth watching, but not necessary: Wayne's World, I Love You Man, Groundhog Day, Planet of the Apes (the original is a must-see though), Interview w/Vampire, Hurt Locker, Ed Wood, Corpse Bride, Boy in Striped Pajamas, and Almost Famous.
I have to be in a certain mood to enjoy 2001...when I'm not I hate it. It's really slow.
Blood Diamond, Lovely Bones and Philadelphia are OK.
AVOID Cry-Baby and The Spirit. Also, I recommend the original of The Day the Earth Stood Still over the remake.
2001 and enternal sunnshine broing and shit, wtf???
You should wathc many of these movies. 2001: A space odyssey is brilliant. Assasination i also a fantastic movie. But don't wathc The day the earth stod still (2008), thats shit!
P.S. I love you is a great movie. Same with Corpse Bride and Gladiator (awesome movie). Beware of Bride Wars, it was horrible and stupid. And...wow, you haven't seen Jungle Book? That's weird...
In don't know how exactly you'll decide from our advices when everyone has a different taste:P but these you should definitely see:
Okay, 500 Days of Summer is different from other movies of the similar genre, which means it's actually entertaining. It takes it's genres usual cliches and re-shapes them.
Spirited Away has breathtaking visuals and a very well thought out, original story and great atmosphere.
btw. Don't bother with anything from the twilight "saga" those are just downright bad, bad movies.
Oh and, these require maybe, getting used to a bit? They are a bit peculiar but I really liked them:
Ed Wood(if you like johnny depp, he's really good in this movie:P)
Eternal Sunshine(another romantic but very bizarre)
Inception(visually breathtaking, the story is engaging, dynamic, very interesting although you do have to watch it carefully:P)
Further, you picked up pretty good movies expect for the following :
- Bride wars. Not seen it but seems so lame...
- Chicago. a very bad movie but if you really enjoy musicals...
- Head over heels. a waste of time
- The last song. Miley Cyrus ? I don't think so...
- Eclipse. again, very lame but if you're a Twilight fan...
one more thing, don't listen to the guy saying that 2001, Spirited Away, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are boring or shit... There are all 3 classic movies and all of them are on my best movies of all time list.
I was very disappointed about The Runaways. The Pianist is really good, I totally cried all over the place. The Interview with the Vampire is brilliant. As for Twilight Eclipse, it depends whether you like Twilight or not. I personally thought Eclipse were much better than New Moon.
If you don't mind I would like to borrow your idea :)
Though all people have difference of opinion,in mine,Inception,Clockwork orange,Memento,Blood diamond,Apocalypse now,The Departed,Mulin ouge,The perfume and of course THE PRESTIGE are a MUST SEE!!!!!!!!But watch as many as you can from your list to have your own opinion cause it may differ from all others.

the town-good
The Boy In The Striped Pajamas, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Gladiator, Nine, The Pianist - love all of these.. I Love You, Man - oh hell, no.. Iron Man 2 - pretty good movie..
Love the list, love most of your comments, theres so much id like to say to that list but now at the end of the list i forgot the the most of it so screw it, but one little thing id like to have exlained, i know its always subjective ratings etc. but what i kinda have a hard time understanding is why does "Requiem for a Dream" only reach a 3 star rating? Dont misunderstand me, im not trying to judge or anything id just like to understand why thats all :) of course you dont have to answer it, thats up to you
I don't like musicals but I really enjoyed Chicago, 2nd best behind only Singin' in the Rain IMO.
Kevin Costner has deservedly taken a bad rap for some of his projects, but Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is pretty exciting adventure fare if you can overlook bad accents and miscasting. Alan Rickman as the Sheriff makes up for the poor choices.
Braveheart is worthy as a spectacle but flimsy as drama, I was actually laughing during the overwrought final torture scene. One among the many unmerited Best Picture winners of the 1990s.

Hope I helped.
