I've been a big Chaplin fan for quite some time now, but Limelight showed off his unique talent for sentimentality and, simultaneously, gave me many new reasons to love the guy.

I have watched a lot of film-noir this past year, and this one is one of the most unique and surreal showcases of the genre that I have seen thus far.

I have watched almost the entirety of Kubrick's filmography. Though Dr. Strangelove is my absolute favorite, 2001 falls in an extremely close second.

I watched 17 Woody Allen films in 2011. Hannah and Her Sisters is not just my favorite of his films; after numerous rewatches and seizing the opportunity to watch it in the cinema, it's probably my most beloved film I've seen throughout the year!

(HM: Manhattan, Love and Death, Stardust Memories, Crimes and Misdemeanors... etc.)
