This scene makes me so devasted. It's that feeling of having to let go if you want to or not. The first time I was sobbing ad nauseam, now I'm scared to re-watch it because already the theme music lets my heart sink.
And yet it is so beautiful.
The Reunion Scene and everything after that till the end
I can't even say what made me cry so much but it was all so beautiful and I really couldn't do anything but cry my eyes out. The tears wouldn't stop and I had no rational explanation. That's Spielberg for you.
The film is very sad in general but the ending was just too much. A very dramatic climax that left me with a lot of tears (that I tried to supress) and a feeling of "Why did that have to happen?!"
Almost every scene (except the more humorous ones) in the film
Well, it is no surprise as it's delicate and tragic subject that is dealt with. War will never bring across a happy message but with the incredibly beautiful yet sad music the tears were hard to fight throughout the film.
The end of the sixth episode "The Reichenbach Falls"
I knew what was coming for me, I even knew what was gonna happen after that but still I had a complete emotional breakdown. The music, and Sherlock and John and their emotions and their actions and everything just came together and I just couldn't put up with it anymore and that moment I knew that this was one of my favourite shows ever.
A lot of scenes...(especially the "union-scenes".)
This film was so damn touching. So many terrible experiences and the fact you know it's all real. And then facing and changing everything. So many scenes made my cry- but not in a bad way. :)
This was a rather weird experience that I cannot completely remember. It seems I was in cinema alone (what I usually never do) and watched this movie. Also very few other people were in the screening room and the climax of the movie was so horribly sad I began weeping and nobody seemed to notice. Well I was younger back then but this I bet if I'd watch it again now it would turn out the same. I mean, there are cute doggies involved. :o
Especially the 'In the Deep' Sequence
This film got me teary-eyed consistently but this scene gave me the (ultimate) rest. The song playing (In the Deep by Bird York) is incredibly sad but it matches perfectly. The whole situation is so terribly tragic and I just couldn't fight the tears.
In my childhood I loved this film for its beautiful depiction of friendship and love. And then I re-watched it as I was older and it was still so very touching that I probably cried even more than in former times.
A lot of scenes .__. (that I cannot excactly recall right now)
As far as I remember this film was always very depressing.
Of course there were also a lot of happy scenes e.g. when they were singing and stuff but still. Poor Feivel had to go through a lot of trouble. :(
Yeah, it's considered a classic and it really is sad but I remember that I rarely cried. It was just kind of burdensome for me. I think because I liked Scar most I wasn't in complete sorrow.
Obviously death scenes are most often the sad ones but tragic deaths are even more powerful and thus more dolorous. In Disco Pigs I actually realized that tragedy too late but eventually it began to grieve me and yes, there were tears.
Gawd was I sad when this movie reached its ending.
Yes, there were many hints to the way it would end but still I sat in front of my TV and the tears just kept coming. Very touching movie and very beautiful and mystical.
When I first saw this in cinema I got all teary-eyed after Hanna had died. Now I'm so tired of this film since we discussed it in german class MUCH too long.
But still very sad, also when you look at the whole relationship of Hanna and Michael.
Kami-chan's rating:
I know, very unique list. ;P
But I just had to put these down. Sometimes you also need sad films.
I have to allow myself to weep easily sometimes! :) Oh and surprise, SPOILER ALERT!
american tale was TOTALLY depressing then the second one was just as depressing, Fievel just can't get a break
cool list, agreeing with everyone else on Dumbo
Yeah these totally make me cry and what Veed said, Grave of the Fireflies is incredibly sad. Have you ever seen Hachiko: A dog's tale?
That was so sad. The music didn't help either.
... You cried at Hannas suicide? Naggi would be proud!
But then you could at sooo many death scenes ;)
Well, nevermind, je t'aime ♥
cool list, agreeing with everyone else on Dumbo
That was so sad. The music didn't help either.
and the lion King and dumbo, even kids movies are so sad:
