Leatherface, Norman Bates and Jack Torrance where not psychopaths. Leatherface was mentally challanged, he killed because he thought that is what he needed to do, but he was not rational enough to understand that what he was doing was bad.

Norman Bates was psychothic, he thought he was under the influence of his mother

Torrance had hallucinations under which influence he was
