I enjoy collecting trophies. Getting that shiny Platinum or seeing that sweet 100% next to my games is extremely satisfying. But unfortunately, there are some games that have trophies that are so hard or time-consuming that I'll simply never get them. Meaning that my PS collection will always stay incomplete.
Injustice: Gods Among Us - Collector's Edition... - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 24% - 16/51 Trophies
I haven't played this in a while, but seeing as I suck at fighting games, and know that this Platinum have a reputation for being extremely difficult, I'm already ruling out my chances. Might try and get some more trophies, but I seriously doubt I'll ever fully complete it.
Alien: Isolation - PlayStation 4
Currently completed: 14% - 10/51 Trophies
This is mostly just because I'm very unlikely to even bother with this game anymore. It's boring and unfair.
Dishonored - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 87% - 70/81 Trophies
At least here I got the Platinum. But it's those damned DLC's that's keeping me from having a 100% here. With Dunwall City Trials being the biggest offender. There are challenges in that dlc that is impossible for mere mortals. You'll have to be twice as good as any Dishonored master to be able to snatch those trophies.
DuckTales Remastered - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 76% - 16/20 Trophies
The obvious trophy is naturally Smarter than the Smarties that requires you to beat the game on Extreme difficulty. Which is basically impossible for me to do, as I can't even grab the trophy for completing it on Hard. So that's 2/4 remaining trophies that I know I'll never manage to do. Then there's a third one, which is basically impossible due to the shitty controls in the game and you have 3/4 that is unobtainable. So yeah, there's one trophy left that I know I can do, but it's so bloody time-consuming that I won't.
FIFA 12 - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 76% - 41/56 Trophies
FIFA 12 and the rest of the following FIFA games are just a sad story, really. Because if I just had started collecting trophies earlier, I would have had a shiny Platinum next to every FIFA game. But no, online multiplayer trophies ruined everything. And when the servers go offline, there's not much left to do. The extremely sad thing about FIFA 12, as opposed to the next entries on this list, is that I was just a few days to slow to catch that final online trophy. Challenge Accepted. If I had just gotten that, then I would have had a sweet Platinum. The DLC is naturally left untouched because of the servers vanishing.
Now, there are still offline trophies here that I can grab. But there's not really much motivation to do those. particularly because some of them are a bit time-consuming. There's no point doing FIFA for Life, which is to spend 50 hours on the pitch, when I know that I can't get the Platinum anyway.
FIFA Soccer 11 - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 37% - 18/45 Trophies
FIFA 11 is dead for the same reasons. Dead online servers. Dead multiplayer. Nothing to do here. Move along. Now, there are still plenty of offline trophies here that I haven't done, so I might be able too boost my completion percentage up to around 50%. But I'm going to have to be very bored if I'm going to bother with that now that the Platinum is unobtainable.
FIFA 10 - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 21% - 9/52 Trophies
Same crap again. No online servers to play on. No online trophies to gain. No glorious Platinum. No DLC trophies available. No beautiful 100%. There are plenty of offline trophies still, but why bother ey?
FIFA 09 - PlayStation 3
Currently completed: 62% - 32/57 Trophies
Missing a few offline trophies, but there's virtually no point in spending the countless hours required for those when the online servers are dead, rendering the few online trophies unreachable. Sad. Sad indeed.
