The President is both the head of state and head of government of the United States of America, and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces. - whitehouse.gov

The current president, Barack Obama, is the forty-fourth President in the History of the USA. Grover Cleveland has served as president in two non-consecutive terms, therefore the list has only fourty-three entries.

Yes, I will add informations about the presidents in the future. I have started with Barack Obama now and will make data for the other presidents available in the future. Any suggestions what else I should add to the descriptions?

As far as I know J Edgar Hoover has never been President of United States... He was the head of the FBI for almost 50 years all the way from the 20s to his death... Some conspiracy theorists might say that he was the real Big Cigar then though, but that's speculation and probably not what this list is about anyhows. ;)

The President on the other hand was _Herbert_ Hoover. In office from 1929-1933.

You can actually give a rating to all the former presidents? I don't know what I'd rate Harrison since he was only president for about a month.

Jimmy Carter, the greatest.
