Interesting Breakthrough Role- Kick Ass
others- Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Not many children could pull off Hit-Girl (an admittedly controversial casting decision, considering the extreme nature of the character,) but virtual new-comer Chloe Moretz really surprised me, depicting the vigilante anti-heroine's tendencies toward the sadistic while making her, considering the fact she bordered on the psychopathic, human.
My dad and I agreed that she was hands down the best actor in the movie. She was criminally underused in the nevertheless entertaining "Diary of A Wimpy Kid," and should of been given more screen time than she was. Regardless of the haters of the remake of Tomas Alfredson's "Let the Right One In," I am entirely convinced she will make a great Eli (Abby.)
