not what i expected from a movie that harold ramis directed, or judd apatow had a hand in. definitely not gonna make an effort to see this one again. i hate it when the object of affection has no real interest in the protagonist at the end. but they end up together. I feel this one was just so they could say michael cera and jack black were in a movie together. for the sake of the seperation of bacon game.
sidmania's rating:
all the way a chick flick. lots of wang..no boobs. It was interesting to see daniel day lewis though. using one of his voices.
sidmania's rating:
Really fun movie. could do without the narration. and some of the scenes were predictable. but this movie was executed almost perfectly. Woody harrleson is brilliant.
And as always Emma stone is hot. sidmania's rating:
wait for this one to come out on redbox. not worth any hype it may have received. plot is so thin, lacks any semblance of character development or relationships. you really dont care what happens to the character beyond any given action scene. suffers from a real lack of overall depth. and also, not really a kids movie so don't try to go that route in defending it. scenes of death and rather frightening imagery definitely not suitable for the 'asks alot of questions when it is inappropriate and quiet' crowd. please dont make this a date movie. it is a waste of 30-40$ spent on tickets and snacks. rental at best.
sidmania's rating:
interesting movie. very surreal. i like that jean claude actually acted.
sidmania's rating:
good swordplay but thats about it. slightly humourous. not a fan of misha barton. but like hayden christiansen. even if he hasnt really learned how to act yet. he has potential.
sidmania's rating:
boring mostly. bijou is annoying. the murder at the end is brutal.
sidmania's rating:
interesting as most mexican movies can be. i like the envelope this one pushes. more movies need to be this daring.
sidmania's rating:
suprisingly fantastic. gotta love these old musicals.
sidmania's rating:
sad story. not sure how karma works but it seems like this is a good example of it kicking your ass.
sidmania's rating:
very fun movie that actually takes hold of you early on. a good example of narration in movies. this fits the 'some kind of wonderful' mold of the main character ending up with his best friend who is a girl.
sidmania's rating:
didnt like the underlying story of adoption. but i loved zooey deshanel and paul dano in this. lots of really amazing shots too.
sidmania's rating:
needs to have a reason why the vets were in the bunker.
sidmania's rating:
meh. a story about hairstylists. alan rickman is great. but just not that interesting of a movie.
sidmania's rating:
sadly the only norm macdonald vehicle out there. i like this movie. it is a guilty pleasure.
sidmania's rating:
very dissapointing installment. i did like the quidditch match. seemed to be the highlight of the movie for me. otherwise too much was changed or left out. i made the mistake of reading the book first. lol. but incidentally this is actually the worst of the potters. the pacing seemed rushed. alot of the scenes seemed cut to short or at innaproppriate times.
sidmania's rating:
some indie films are uncomfortable and boring. this is one of them. though it does have its moments. not even jemaine clement can save this one.
sidmania's rating:
very introspective film. nicely done by zach braff.
