--- "So many people know me. I wish I did. I wish someone would tell me about me." ![]() Margo Channing, played by the marvelous Betty Davis Mari's rating:
[about Proust, after his nephew's conplaining about life's misfortunes] "He gets down to the end of his life, and he looks back and decides that all those years he suffered, those were the best years of his life, ’cause they made him who he was. All those years he was happy? You know, total waste." ![]() Frank Ginsberg, as portrayed by Steve Carell Mari's rating:
![]() Gigolo Joe, played by Jude Law. Of course, I'm not a mecha. Althought, it applies to a fistful of situations... even when you are flesh and blood. Mari's rating:
"All you need to know about life is retained in those four walls. You will notice that one of your personalities is seduced by the illusions of grandeur - the gold packet of king size with a regal insignia, an attractive implication towards grandeur and wealth, the subtle suggestion that cigarettes are indeed your royal and loyal friends, and that, Pete, is a lie. Your other personality is trying to draw your attention to the flip side of the discussion, written in boring bold black and white, it's a statement that these neat little soldiers of death are in fact trying to kill you and that, Pete, is the truth. " ![]() Johnny Quid, played by Toby Kebbell I usually do not like Guy Ritchie's movies. They sound and look all the same, with a few ones that are not like this. But this quote is something else. Mari's rating:
![]() Gaff, the mysterious guy played by Edward James Olmos. Mari's rating:
![]() The Comedian, portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan Mari's rating:
![]() Forrest, remarkable Tom Hanks' role. Mari's rating:
[Translation] Love is a precipice: when you think you're flying, maybe is falling already." ![]() Leléu, played by the adorable Selton Mello Mari's rating:
![]() Clementine, everybody's favorite Tangerine played by Kate Winslet. Mari's rating:
Drew, played by Orlando Bloom. ![]() "You have five minutes to wallow in the delicious misery. Enjoy it, embrace it, discard it… and proceed." Wisely said by Claire, played by Kirsten Dunst, who I still think is an awful actress. Mari's rating:
![]() Chris, creepy guy played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Mari's rating:
The Writer, Richard Dreyfuss' role. Mari's rating:
"Oooh, but they're *not*. Look. See, some are smaller, some are fatter, some grow to the left, some to the right, some even have lost some petals. All *kinds* of observable differences. You see, Harold, I feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are *this*, [she points to a daisy] yet allow themselves be treated as *that*. [she gestures to a field of daisies] ![]() Maude, touching character portrayed by Ruth Gordon. Mari's rating:
