1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - PlayStation

What can I really say about this game, well its superb.
The music, the backgrounds, the boss battles, they're all fantastic, I've played through every ending and defeated every boss and collected every weapon and this game has taken hours upon hours of my time and I loved/love it.

2. Silent Hill - PlayStation

Although I prefer Silent Hill 2, that one wasn't on the PS1 but this one however still is one of my favourite games because of its creepiness level and the Silent Hill games happen to be some of my favourite series of games.

3. Final Fantasy VIII - PlayStation

This game is so large and took me while of levelling up to get through certain sections of the game, I haven't played too much of it recently, but I intend to in the future play alot more of this fantastic game.

4. Resident Evil 2 - PlayStation

This game for me is like a drug, its really addictive and was the first one that I originally played from the series.

5. Dino Crisis 2 - PlayStation

This game played better then the original for me, updated graphics and great voice acting and had alot of action, right from the get go.

6. Parasite Eve II - PlayStation

This game was really enjoyable and reminded me alot of games like Resident Evil but with RPG elements which made this game all the more exciting and I liked the cut scenes as well.

7. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - PlayStation

This game has some of the best voice acting and also some of the best cut scenes in a game, the opening cutscene still quite literally makes my jaw drop.

9. Die Hard Trilogy - PlayStation

A case of, I loved the movie so I got the game.
The game I got my light gun for and this game is a complete blast, I particularly like the aiport stages, out of Die Hard 2.

10. Tekken 3 - PlayStation

My favourite fighting game for the PSX, its one I have played through many times and I have alot of fond memories of playing this game amongst friends growing up.

NOTE: I've only included one game from the franchise which is my favourite game, probably because its either the one I grew up with playing and holds a special place in my heart or I just think its better; whilst the list might not look anything like your list, please remember its my favourite games for the ps1.
