The real life story of Joe E. Lewis. Great songs including "All the Way".
classic movie buff's rating:
One of my favourite Sinatra movies. When I saw the premiere in London years ago the whole audience applauded after he sang "Lady is a Tramp"!!

Description
I am a big FRANK SINATRA fan and have been fortunate to see him in concert many times both in America and here in the U.K. I have attended his shows at the London Palladium, the Albert Hall and the Festival Hall. I was a Tour Operator for 22 years taking groups to Hollywood and Las Vegas so have also seen him out there too. One special show I will never forget was at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas called "Sinatra and Friends". My wife and I had front row seats and on the bill that night were Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr and Liza Minnelli. What a line up!! The following night he opened at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas so we went along and once again had front row seats. On the very next table to us were Dean Martin and his wife and Gregory Peck and his wife so that was definitely a night to remember. We never met Mr Sinatra in person unfortunately but on one trip we were invited to go to his office in Hollywood. He was out of town that morning but knew of our visit and had instructed his secretary to show us around his private office. It was fascinating to be in there and to see all his photographs and personal items on display. On the walls were signed photographs of many of the U.S. presidents through the years such as Kennedy, Nixon, Carter, Ford, Reagan etc. I really enjoyed reading all the messages they had written on these pictures. His Oscars were there plus many pictures of his family. Some weeks later after we got back home a signed photograph from him arrived in the post. He had written a long inscription on it which read as follows: For Shirley and Clive, With my very best wishes and thanks for your loyal support thru the years - it's people like you who make it all worthwhile. Love -God bless, Frank Sinatra. '89. We were delighted and proud to receive this as we had not even asked for a picture or autograph. Not many people will have a signed picture from Sinatra with such a personal message. Over the next few years we occasionally received small gifts from him such as key rings, cigarette lighters, medallions, scarves etc all with his name on them so that was appreciated very much.
