The greatest book ever! George Orwell's dystopian world is so freakishly similar to todays that it's not even funny.
Another of his major works is Animal Farm, but I didn't quite like it much since the protagonists were animals and thus garnered more of my sympathy.

Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand
I loved this book, but I cheated a bit and skipped John Galt's speech over the radio half way through since it seemed to go on and on about the same subject.

IT - Stephen King
Pennywise gave me nightmares for days after I saw Tim Curry taking up the role.
Still an awesome book.

The Inferno of Dante - Dante Alighieri,Robert Pinsky
I read all three books: Inferno, purgatory, and paradise.
Hell was fun, purgatory was interesting, but paradise was a bore.

A children's book, but still a good read.

The movies were good, but the books will still be superior, as is the case with most novels.

I'm a pretty big fan of dystopian futures myself, so I'm glad to see 1984 and Brave New World among your favorites. I can understand why a lot of people seem to love Atlas Shrugged, but I personally felt that it was a tad heavy-handed with it's message. I really felt that it was a non-fiction book masquerading as a novel.
