I don't know much about Deep Purple and Yes, so I can't comment on them, and I don't like heavy metal, therefore I'd leave Black Sabbath off the list, but the other bands are amazing. I wish I had lived in the sixties.

The 60's were my favorite era of music. Nice picks. I would recommend the Allman Brothers Band (original lineup), Cream, Derek and the Dominos (Short lived but great). I listen to a lot more R&B so this list would be dominated by me with James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Freddie King, and Albert Collins. Great picks.
