I think the only films that would deviate from your list would be the mention of "The Pianist" (Liked that the whole story took place in one city) and "The Phone Booth" which marked the beginning of all my female friends cooing over Colin Farrell
You know, I STILL haven't seen "The Pianist". Ridiculous, I know. Worse, is I don't have any compelling reason why. "Phone Booth"...really? Hmmm...I guess I'll have to check that out too!
Thanks for the comments!
Of the top 12 I've seen 4, so clearly I have some movies to watch. Tried watching 25th Hour, but I was at my parents' house at the time & the excessive profanity was annoying them. *rolls eyes* Glad to NOT see LOTR in the top 12 though, as I find that whole series severely overrated.
And I agree with jaytoast, Phone Booth is excellent.
Ha, I loved the LOTR series in its entirety, but got tired of putting each film on my top 12. The second was my least favorite I suppose--though even as I write that it feels wrong-- so that's the one that got the boot.
*I've bumped "Phone Booth" to the top of my queue on the strength of your and jaytoast's recommendation/reputation for good taste. So, yes, very soon now.
- The 25th hour : If you like Edward Norton and Spike Lee (I do), a must see but basically nothing at all happens in the movie. I don't mind but maybe you will..
- Phone booth : a good thriller but that's about it. Nothing expectional either
Ha, yeah I dug that movie quite a bit actually. Don't think for a second it deserved the Best Picture Oscar it recieved, but I really did enjoy Zeta Jones and John C. Reily's performances in that movie.
Not for everyone I suppose, but 'Singin' in the Rain' helped me come around on musicals a bit.
