Musicians I've met
 6.6 The first time I saw them, I met vocalist Jeff Scheel because my Dad used to work with him. Every time I saw them after that Jeff always made a point to talk to me. Good dude.

1 After they opened for Poe & the eels in '96, I ran into them in downtown Dallas. They asked me what I thought of their set; I told them I thought they sucked. Ben Kweller told me, "that's cool, man. We get that a lot."

6.3 Talked to her after several shows she played. She's super cool, very down-to-earth.

6.1 Met Dez, Meegs, and Rayna after they played a club show in Dallas w/Sevendust and Powerman 5000. Dez sat & talked with my friends and I for about an hour after their set.

7 Met the entire band. Have autographed ticket stubs & an autographed copy of White Pony to prove it.

5.9 Met them at an in-store autograph session. They mostly looked like they'd rather be somewhere else.

4.5 Met the entire band on a couple occasions, talked to some of them on a few more occasions (all after they'd headlined or opened for someone else). Always very friendly dudes.

5.3 Met Fred Durst while he wandered around during the first Family Values tour. Say what you will, the guy genuinely cares about his fans & takes the time to talk to them.

7 Met the band at an in-store performance. Have an autographed copy of their first album to prove it.

7.7 Met Todd Lewis, Lisa Umbarger, Mike Reznicek, and Clark Vogeler at their shows and other shows they attended.

6.8 I was at a CD release for another Dallas band when vocalist Tim Delaughter first talked to me because he recognized me from seeing me at shows in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I eventually became such good friends with the entire band that I earned a permanent spot on their guest list.

7.7 Met all but Phil because Rex, Dime, & Vinnie all used to hang out in Dallas any time they weren't on the road.

6.2 Met him in a club in Dallas where another band was playing (Ugly Mus-tard). Smashing Pumpkins had played the venue before & he'd dropped by to see if they could sneak onto the bill. At the time they were touring with the Rolling Stones. The venue turned him down, but told him he could come inside & see the show for free & have any drinks he wanted. He was pretty dorky.

10 Met them after their set the 1st and only time I saw them. Talked to their bassist again when he was part of Duff McKagan's Loaded line-up.

7.3 Met Brian and Stefan after they opened for Stabbing Westward & bought merch from them. Friendly dudes.

7.5 Met & hung out with them when they toured with Love & Rockets.

6.8 Met the whole band (Scott Putesky aka Daisy Berkowitz was in the band then) when they opened for Psychotica.

2.8 Met him at a local Denny's after Public Enemy headlined Smokin' Grooves. He told one of my best friends & I that we were "two of the coolest white dudes I've ever met."

6.4 Met Scott Ian after a Dallas club show they did. I'd caught the band's attention that night by wearing my Public Enemy t-shirt & John Bush motioned for me to come forward in the crowd so he & I could do "bring the noise" together.

5.9 Met Evil Jared while they were on the poorly-received ROAR tour. He was, appropriately, a jerk. I didn't take it personally though.

7 Met a couple of their line-ups. Vinnie always takes the time to talk to his fans.

Met the original line-up back in '99. I still talk to them whenever I get a chance at their shows.

6.1 Met the entire band at a Clear Channel festival. Have a t-shirt of mine with autographs from about half of them.

7 Met Daron Malakian while he was walking around after their '98 Ozzfest performance.

7.4 Met him the first time I ever saw him perform & used to hang out with him after his shows for a few years.

8 Met Duane Denison while he toured as Hank Williams III's guitarist.

7 Met Scott Lucas after one of their shows. Told him I'd seen them multiple times & they're always awesome live. He told me if that ever changes to let him know. Heh.

6.5 Met them all when they toured behind 13 Tales. They signed every album of theirs I had up to that point.

6 Met Dave Williams back before he was in Drowning Pool. At the time he was singing for a Dallas band called Fugly. He was a super-cool dude & the only thing Drowning Pool ever had going for them. We used to talk and hang out at Fugly shows & when I'd drop by the Blockbuster Music store he worked at.

6.3 Met the original line-up the first time I saw them, in New Orleans. Hung out with them for almost an hour that night & had a blast.

7.3 Met them while they were on tour with A Perfect Circle.

7.8 Met Aimee Echo & Jamie Miller after & before a few of their shows. Met current drummer Chelsea Davis once. Met original drummer Scott Ellis once also.

8 Met John Dufilho. Not sure if I've met any of his backing band, but it's possible since they're from Dallas, where I used to live.

7.4 Met Jimbo Wallace & talked to him on several occasions.

6.3 Met Melora when Rasputina toured with Les Claypool. She was selling Rasputina's merch at the time.

8.3 Met Steve Albini at one of their shows, and he sold me a t-shirt.

5.9 Met them the second time I saw them. They talked to me first because I was wearing my Grates tee that I bought when they opened for WAS.
