I have seen Coheed live about 5 different times (possibly 6 or 7), the last time being a 4 day gig called "Neverender" which I attended 3 out of 4 shows for (the 2nd show was canceled and rescheduled on a day I could not attend.) One day I will see that album live, and then I can die knowing I have heard everything they have live.
Having seen these so many times it is safe to say they are the best band I have seen live, their shows are always full of effort and extremity with back up singers, violins, massive sets on stage and even a guillotine! They are the only band I know of who has played all of their albums back to back for their fans in 4 shows spread over 1 week. The best show I attended was a one of special show they held at "The Bar Fly" in Camden, it was a Kerrang special in which only about 60 people could attend. I went there for my birthday and it was held in a tiny room and I was stood right at the front and had to be given ear plugs by a roadie to make sure I never went deaf. I lost my voice and could only whistle to people to get attention for the next day and a half, a fantastic show! RB6K's rating:
I have seen AFI twice (I think) the first time was at Reading Festival, they were brilliant but cut their show short for reasons unknown, everyone expected an encore and never got one! The second time I saw them they were fantastic, again a lot of effort seemed to go into the show and their lead looked dead by the end of it as he had forced so much energy into giving a spectacular event. I remember taking my wife to see them and how impressed she was at the sheer extent they went to in their performance to make it perfect.
RB6K's rating:
Metallica I have also seen twice. The first time was at Reading Festival, the second time my sister managed to acquire me two tickets for free to see them live at Earls Court in London. I went with a friend, and my sister and we actually wound up sitting directly next to the stage, so close in fact our faces were singed by the heat of their pyrotechnics! This is truly the best show I have experienced but due to the fact I have seen Coheed more, and AFI meant more to me, they reside in third place.
RB6K's rating:
I saw Iron Maiden in Hammersmith with my father, the show meant a lot to him as he is an avid Iron Maiden fan and they put on a spectacular show with lazers and lights.
RB6K's rating:
I saw Muse at Wembley Arena (I think...) supported by The Zutons. They were a brilliant band, all of their songs sounded amazing and they put on a magnificent show.
RB6K's rating:
Bon Jovi held a gig at Milton Keens Bowl which held several double figured thousands of people, it was an awesome day out in spring, the show was brilliant, the atmosphere was amazing and I really enjoyed it.
RB6K's rating:
A band I have liked since I was at School, I have seen these twice now and both times they were great. The second show I saw at Wembley Arena and almost caught the drummers drum stick, only to have it snap in my hand, give me a massive splinter, and the guy next to me run off with the spoils. I was outraged until my good friend Dave pointed out I got a Splinter at the Splinter tour!!
RB6K's rating:
I saw these fellas at Reading Festival, they were so interactive with the crowd and put on a really good show. They headlined and got everyone going extremely well, though I never listen to them now I would gladly see them live again.
RB6K's rating:
I have seen these twice too I think, the second time I remember most, I went to see them in Hammersmith supported by My Chemical Romance, they were a good watch and I enjoyed the show, I sang most of it through and can't remember anything outwardly spectacular from it, from this point onward in the list the gigs were not particularly special, more generic.
RB6K's rating:
As above, these were quite generic gigs, MCR were supporting TBS and put on a decent show.
RB6K's rating:
I heard the ass end of an AAR gig at one Reading Festival and saw them live at the next years festival. Nothing special noted.
RB6K's rating:
These headlined a Reading Festival, their show was alright, nothing special, I spent most of it thinking I had pulled only to find the girl I thought I had pulleds boyfriend was standing with us too!!
RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival, they played exceptionally well, but I have nothing special to note about this gig.
RB6K's rating:
Saw at Reading Festival, another generic gig, but very good if memory serves.
RB6K's rating:
I have seen these fellas twice, once at Reading and once somewhere else in London, both good gigs nothing special to note.
RB6K's rating:
These may in fact be the first band I ever saw live which is awful really! It was a good show though and I enjoyed it. I saw them at the Apollo Theater in London and spat in the back of a girls head because she threw sweat all over me whilst standing behind her.
RB6K's rating:
I didn't want to, but I saw these at Reading Festival. My friends are fans and like a cunt I wanted to go elsewhere but stood watching them because I did not want to be alone.
RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival, they were good live. During watching these my friend got into a fight with a man on drugs, I joined in with another friend and gave the guy hell before his sister dragged him away in tears!
RB6K's rating:
These guys opened for the second Reading Festival I went to, and sung about 2 songs worth listening to before going into obscurity. Purely a novelty act.
RB6K's rating:
Opened for Muse, these are about the only support band I have ever looked up and downloaded or listened to in my life. I like The Zutons as much as a lot of bands on here and was truly impressed seeing them live.
RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival, they were disappointing live.
RB6K's rating:
I have seen these at Thurrock music festival and Reading Music festival, they are a local band and that is about the only reason I have for liking them, however they were good live, and have since dropped off the radar into unsigned obscurity.
RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival, their equipment broke which is not their fault, they did well under the circumstances and played some good acoustic tracks. I would like to see them live properly one day but am not fussed really based on what I saw.
RB6K's rating:
I saw him at Reading Festival, he was alright Live, I was waiting for Funeral For A Friend to come on and he happened to be singing, I knew more of his songs than I thought and actually kind of enjoyed it.
RB6K's rating:

RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival, they were average live, instantly forgettable.
RB6K's rating:
Got bottled off the stage for not playing the song everyone knew of theirs and trying to act more famous than they were. A forgettable performance, but a laughable one.
RB6K's rating:
He was highly entertaining because he knew he was not welcome at Reading Festival and in fact bought bottles out to throw at the crowd (which the crowd gladly threw back) he played about half an hour before leaving for his own security and was voted The Suns lowest point of the weekend. In his time on stage he played songs I knew and did alright, it just wasn't the place for his songs to be performed.
RB6K's rating:
Twice I have gone out to a club with friends and Baby Dee happens to be performing at that club at the same time. Its always good for the novelty of it and the laughs when barely anyone in the club is really focused on her and the 2 terribly aged men that sing with her. The most recent time she performed she managed about 3 songs before leaving the stage, 1 was a cover and the other 2 might have only been 1 song I couldn't tell. Its laughable that they perform in night clubs after all these years with the 1 known song they ever did, but I am sure they get paid well, and for 3 songs, good for them!
RB6K's rating:
I saw these at Reading Festival and they were alright live, a bit forgettable but they got the crowd split down the middle, and made us run into one another Lord Of The Rings battle style. The reason they are bottom is that I saw them live again at Hammersmith and they were awful! The worst live gig I have ever went out of my way to attend and I was bitterly disappointed!
