Aside from that, it was a good morbid comedy, but with sad parts because of his real mental health struggles and his past.
Definitely different, but worth a watch!
When a young woman goes to the small town of Bodega Bay to deliver love birds to a man and his sister, strange things begin to happen and the local birds become vicious.
A young drama student and her father help detectives to find out who killed an actresses husband.
Not my very favorite of Hitchcock’s, but still enjoyable and with some very memorable lines and scenes.
Another of my many favorite Hitchcock films.
When a reckless, gambling young man meets a mousy, innocent girl and sweeps her off her feet, she’s thrilled to start a new life with him. But she quickly stars to see discrepancies in his character and suspects him of the worst as time goes on!
A crazy comedy and fun to watch. A New York couple find out that their marriage isn’t legal somehow and the wife decides she doesn’t want to be married to him anymore anyway. He pursues her, and so does his friend, leading to all kinds of trouble. What lengths will her husband go to to get her back?!
My first time seeing this interesting and creepy movie!
When she sees a murder across the street in the middle of the night, a woman calls police, only to be told they find no evidence of it and she must have been dreaming it.
Convinced of what she saw and that she’s in danger from the suspect she won’t let it drop and everyone is led to believe she’s crazy and persecuting the man she accuses. The killer plays his roll well meanwhile, slowly making her out to be a woman likely to commit suicide so he can get rid of his only witness.
This was an awesome movie!
When the top special agent and the top beat cop team up, there’s nothing that can stop them…..except maybe each other.
Bullock is the FBI agent, at the top of her game, but socially awkward, very proper and very lonely. McCarthy plays the Boston cop who is the polar opposite, with her cussing and unconventional (and physical) ways of getting things done. But she has a heart and problems of her own, and when they finally learn to work together they become sisters and friends.
I laughed through most of it and cried a little a time or two. Definitely love this one.
Uncle Elwood P. Dowd has a companion only he can see and hear, who also happens to be a giant six foot rabbit (or pooka). Of course no one believes him and everyone thinks he's off his rocker. His family tries to have him commited, but things only get crazier when they do!
A clearly disturbed young woman is hired as a caretaker for a supposedly haunted mansion. During her stay she quickly spirals into madness and murder.
This movie was almost silent through. Nothing really happened until 28 mins. into it, so honestly I was a little bored. But I have to say, it did end up being creepy.
However, there are many loose ends and questions left. I suppose they wanted it to be mysterious.
Deadpool is based on the comic book hero. This was a really great movie, the comedy was awesome right from the credits on, but the struggle was real and the romance was heartbreakingly beautiful at the same time. Yes, it has all of that!
I really love Ryan Reynolds and he doesn’t disappoint in this movie.
My only peeve would be the brief female nudity in it. It does have a lot of cussing, but it’s done in a humorous way, so you just have to laugh much of the time, lol.
If you like unconventional superheroes and lots of comedy (and some romance) I definitely recommend this one!
Definitely one of my new favorites! If you like psychological thrillers you should watch this movie. Without giving too much away, I can tell you it’s about a man who has 23 personalities (at least) and kidnaps three girls for a reason that isn’t fully revealed until later. He is not your common psychopath or killer, he has what would be labeled a mental disorder, but also extraordinary abilities.
He’s both a frightening and a sympathetic character. One of his heroic young prisoner’s parallel story is even more striking and emotional; and ultimately if you relate to her in the least, very empowering.
I rarely say this, but I cannot wait for the sequel!
First time seeing this movie. It was a good romance.
As adults they reunite over one is their suddenly murdered daughters. But suspicion quickly falls on one of the three and old demons come back to haunt them all.
This is a really good movie, but also very sad as you see all each of their pains and struggles. Great acting. Highly recommended, but have tissue.
Watching him risk his life over and over his wife puts on a brave face for her husband, while trying to cope and confiding in their mutual best friend (Tracy) and looking to him for strength. "There are three roads".....and only a tragedy will change things.
This is a great Gable-Harlow movie. Highly recommend it.
A U.S. Colonel and paleontologist track a giant prehistoric mantis from the arctic to New York after it was released by an eruption that destroyed the ice it was stuck in.
A woman thinks she's in love with a kind older (and married) man, who's wife won't give him a divorce to be with her. When she goes away on a cruise however, she meets the real love of her life, a handsome rancher played by Gable. Intending to explain to her married lover about her change of heart when she gets back, she instead finds that in her absence his wife decided to grant him a divorce and now he's ready to marry her.
What will she do? You'll have to watch to see how things turn out!
Very good story and one of the first in a series that would follow about women with "three faces" or schizophrenia.
A pretty good story, with a happy ending.
The millionaires best friend has other ideas though and does everything to separate his friend from the girl....of course in the process he falls for her.
For anyone who hasn't watched it yet (?) it's a very touching and at times even funny story about a man who has disabilities but continues to succeed in life in spite of them. At times Forest is indeed a little dumb (says dumb things), but it's also his simplicity that wins the day and touches lives around him.
Worth the watch if you can look past how dumb he sounds sometimes, lol. ;p
If you like horror-comedy, you'll love this one too. It's basically a sort of parody on the "teens being terrorized in the woods", but it's all a huge misunderstanding and the rednecks they fear are actually the best guys ever. There IS a psycho killer in the woods, but you'll have to watch and see who it turns out to be!
A must see movie!
Her secret can't be kept long when he falls in love with her back though.
This is is a classic 80s B horror film. Its a little fantastical in parts and not as realistic as they could have made it, for instance, the creature that the madman made (which actually makes an appearance) is never explained, lol. And how he actually zeros in on the woman he wants is a total mystery. But it's still a fun flick, combining a sort of phantom of the opera gothic obsession with murderous rage.
As the madman says, "I'll have your heart, one way or another!"
He decides to take both of them home and his wife is thrilled but things aren't as easy as he hoped.
Wonderful and touching. I highly recommend this movie.
The first version was perfect. And as they say, "if it's not broke, don't fix it".
A wonderful drama staring Joseph Cotton and Jenifer Jones. Definitely a story worth watching unfold!
A young woman reluctantly discovers her idolized uncle is a strangler called 'The Merry Widow Murderer" when a detective comes to follow him and enlists her help. When she finally confronts her uncle her own life will be in danger!
A “good” but poor sister murders her estranged, wealthy twin who wronged her years before. She impersonates her making everyone think she (the poorer sister) is the one who died.
The most recent month will always be at the top of the list, so it's easy to view for anyone interested in following my progress.
This list will continue through 2017, month by month.
