1. Swingers (1996)
Absolutely loved this movie. The writing, characters and pacing were all spot on. Naturally it quickly became one of my all time favorites, Id definitely recommend it.

2. Clerks (1994)
Some sh*t in this movie is just nasty, but the dialogue between Randal and Dante is some of the best and funniest Ive seen in a long time.

People who added this item 3183  Average listal rating (2020 ratings) 7  IMDB Rating 7.5
3. Gangs of New York (2002)
Daniel Day Lewis took the spotlight as Butcher Bill in this one. Every little nuance is perfectly executed to create a truly despicable character. I also loved the time period and sets. Overall, a bit too long, but still great.

4. Papillon (1973)
Two of my favorite actors in one of my least favorite movies. This one just didnt click with me. However McQueens incredible portrayal of solitary confinement was both captivating and heart-breaking.

People who added this item 349  Average listal rating (223 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.2

People who added this item 410  Average listal rating (243 ratings) 7.7  IMDB Rating 7.6

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 798  Average listal rating (510 ratings) 6.9  IMDB Rating

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1020  Average listal rating (586 ratings) 7.6  IMDB Rating 7.7

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 154  Average listal rating (93 ratings) 5.8  IMDB Rating 6.4
22. Act of Valor (2012)
Visceral and gritty military action. US Navy SEALS are awesome in every way. Actings obviously not perfect but see it for what it is. A manly f**kin' movie.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 139  Average listal rating (79 ratings) 7.8  IMDB Rating 7.2
23. Thief (1981)
Forgotten James Caan neo-noir. Solid movie all around. If you liked Drive you may like this.

People who added this item 443  Average listal rating (302 ratings) 7.3  IMDB Rating 7.6
25. Tucker and Dale vs. Evil (2010)
One of the funniest movies Ive seen in a long time. The characters are genuinely hilarious and the plot is as purposely contrived as the teen cast. If you love horror movies, youll love this one.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 387  Average listal rating (194 ratings) 7.4  IMDB Rating 7.6

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 4297  Average listal rating (2926 ratings) 6.1  IMDB Rating

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 2981  Average listal rating (1885 ratings) 7.6  IMDB Rating

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 193  Average listal rating (127 ratings) 6.7  IMDB Rating 6.6

People who added this item 1612  Average listal rating (1057 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.2
30. The Hunger Games (2012)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 592  Average listal rating (413 ratings) 6.9  IMDB Rating 7.1
31. They Live (1988)
The amount of 80s everything in this movie is incredible. It actually has a fantastic message about consumerism too. See it.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1583  Average listal rating (1015 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.5
32. The Fly (1986)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1254  Average listal rating (848 ratings) 7.2  IMDB Rating 7.6

Groovy.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1709  Average listal rating (1136 ratings) 7.8  IMDB Rating 8.2
34. The Thing (1982)
Instantly became one of my favorite horror movies. A fantastic sense of isolation is created that modern day movies just cant match.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1663  Average listal rating (1147 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.8
35. The Fugitive (1993)
Timeless action thriller. Tommy Lee Jones' performance is very dickish. But in a good way. Wait, what?
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 893  Average listal rating (597 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.1
36. The Cabin in the Woods (2011)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 583  Average listal rating (401 ratings) 7.9  IMDB Rating 8.2
37. Warrior (2011)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 387  Average listal rating (240 ratings) 6.7  IMDB Rating
38. Troll Hunter (2010)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 11  Average listal rating (8 ratings) 7.3  IMDB Rating 6.6
39. Duel (2004)
Spielberg bein' Spielberg. That is, talented as he usually is. The first time I was scared the vehicle and not the driver.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 275  Average listal rating (169 ratings) 6.4  IMDB Rating 6.7
40. Transsiberian (2008)
It needed to be longer. It had a fantastic build up but fell apart in the second half. Very unmemorable.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 1311  Average listal rating (858 ratings) 6.9  IMDB Rating 7.1
41. Super 8 (2011)
Cloverfields one of my favorite movies and seeing Abrams doing something similar again WITH Spielberg made me brofist... well my self. Sadly it was a let down. It couldve probably been rated PG and made by Disney with some minor editing. Just meh.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 2134  Average listal rating (1374 ratings) 7.9  IMDB Rating 8.3
42. The Avengers (2012)
Not like you can really, but dont miss this one. Action's awesome and the characters are all given roughly equal screen time. I wouldnt expect anything less from Mr. Whedon.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 2365  Average listal rating (1493 ratings) 7.6  IMDB Rating
43. Mystic River (2003)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 820  Average listal rating (555 ratings) 7.1  IMDB Rating 7.5
44. Animal House (1978)

mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 442  Average listal rating (297 ratings) 5.8  IMDB Rating 6.6
45. Project X (2012)
Ok after seeing this I wanted to throw an absolute Rager. Yup with a capital r.

Dont let the media fool you into thinking this is the devils work or something. Its a freakin party movie for high school/college kids. The soundtrack, characters and party itself are all kick ass.

Till the break of dawn.

46. Beavis and Butt-Head Do America (1996)
I dont know what prompted me to watch this as I never really watch B&B on TV. But Im glad I did. It was hilarious in that slow deadpan Mike Judge way.
mrwordman's rating:

People who added this item 554  Average listal rating (378 ratings) 6.7  IMDB Rating 6.7
47. Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans (2009)
My buddy bought this for me on DVD expecting it to be a steaming pile, but instead we got a surreal drama about the downfall and addictions of a New Orleans lieutenant. A BAD lieutenant if you will.

Overall. Interesting, at times wtf-worthy, movie.

49. Footloose (2011)
I facepalmed when I saw this was being remade. but to be honest? It was not as bad as I thought it would be. For me however, Miles Teller made the movie.

50. Back to the Future (1985)
I know... I know... Ive never seen it. I had a deprived childhood apparently. But now I can now understand why it is so legendary after seeing it. It truly is as awesome as everyone says it is. Now I just have to see the rest...
