"Every order carries a seed of disorder; every clarity, a seed of obscurity." Miklécio Costa's rating:
"- In the church, they say to forgive. Miklécio Costa's rating:
"- Does he even realize you are his son? It looks like just a family drama, but it is really more than that. The movie shows how social, religious and ethical questions can be correlated and make life even more difficult. And most important of all, the message is that you will have to deal with these questions wherever you are or go. Miklécio Costa's rating:
More drama than comedy. But the few jokes are all very good. It shows an innovative way of talking about cancer. It's not about giving up. And it's not about getting over either. It's about acknowledging that everything is half bad and half good.

Well, it is not the kind of story I like. It is just the old crime investigation we are all used to see in books and cinema. However, two things are extraordinary in this movie: acting and editing. When I say acting, I mean Rooney Mara's acting. What an amazing character! And thanks to the editing and all the short scenes thing, a 2.5 hour long film keeps a thrilling pace and does not become tiring or boring.
Miklécio Costa's rating:
Political and philosophical. The movie shows an exciting story about trust and deception. Simultaneously the protagonist is forced to rethink everything he had as certain. Good twists in the narrative and good acting.

Let's just say that Britney Spears' songs sound much darker to me now...
Miklécio Costa's rating:
Great and innovative way of talking about lies. The issue here is human communication, so no need for images!

Best 3D experience ever! Actually, it was the first time I liked 3D effects in a movie. Aside from that, it is a touching story but nothing really interesting.
Miklécio Costa's rating:
First of all, I think you should have some kind of background about baseball before watching this movie. Trying to explain a scientific theory about the sport, the characters frequently talk about some details like rules, plays and specific baseball terms. Luckily for me, I had already watched some games on TV, so it was fine. However what I really liked in the story was the revolutionary aspect, the will to change a preestablished view about the sport. And knowing the story is real makes it even better. Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill are great, both in dramatic and funny scenes.
