11. Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescen... (2006)

The Naruto manga hit the stands in 1997 as apart of the Japanese publication Weekly Shonen Jump. It has since gone on to be an international phenomenon, and deservedly so. Naruto is a thoughtful, relatable franchise. The fox spirit which inhabits Naruto Uzumaki is a metaphor for his personal anger and resentment, the true demons inhabiting his psyche.

During my stay at Harvard I was able to take a class on Naruto and the power of the soul - it was a fascinating lecture. The professor gave a lengthy thesis on how the human spirit can be truly triumphant in those who choose to leave their past trials behind them and go to work for the well-being of the homosapien race, which in turn gives them the meaning that all metacognitive lifeforms need at the cores of their being.
