Nice list, to which I'd like to add:
"Savior" (1998) with Dennis Quaid getting to show his acting chops more than usual.
"Onibaba" (1964)a highly original and early effort in the ghost genre from Japan.
"The assignment" (1997) solid thriller with Aidan Quinn playing two roles and Donald Sutherland has some good zingers.
"They came back" ('les revenants' 2004) A French look at the zombie genre.

There are many more I'm sure...

How Green Was My Valley Was Indeed A Very Beautiful & Touching Film... But I Don't Feel It's That Much Underrated Cuz People Over Here Never Seem To Stop Talking About It!

Do you really think that Stanley Kubrick and Fritz Lang are underrated?
Posted: 5 years, 9 months ago at Dec 22 12:24
I didn't say that Stanley Kubrick himself is underrated (he was regarding awards, though) but I find that his earliest works - The Killing, Paths Of Glory and Lolita are underrated.
As for Fritz Lang, yes I do. Particularly in this generation seeing as a lot of people nowadays are very shallow with films, especially if they're foreign language and are filmed in black and white.

Eyes Wide Shut is really underrated film, in my opinion it beats Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon and Dr. Strangelove without any problems. But you should add Once Upon a Time in America and The Green Mile, if you've seen them - of course.

I've not seen Once Upon A Time In America yet but do intend to at some point. As for The Green Mile, it's underrated regarding awards despite a Best Picture nomination and should've won a few awards but outside of awards, it's truly a public favourite.
