Actually I find The Dark Knight, Inception and The Departed to be three of the most overrated movies of all time and to see them on this list really cracks me up. Not saying that they aren't good but they aren't all that and a bag of peanuts either.

Seeing Avatar at the top doesn't surprise me though; if there was a movie in the last decade that was more popular than The Dark Knight then that was it. I wish I had a tiny, little piece of the fortune that it's made.

Nothing's wrong w/ The Dark Knight; it was a good movie. It's just that so many people go around talking about it like it's the best movie ever made and it's not; hence the overrated. (So is Citizen Kane, for the same reason). Personally, I found it to be the third best in the trilogy w/ Batman Begins first and Dark Knight Rises, second.

They also talk about Chris Nolan like he's the second coming of Christ, which irks the hell out of me. He's a good director but he's no Hitchcock. I just got tired of all the hooplah, hence the 'overrated'. *shrug*

I realize that Avatar was a simplistic formula but I found it to be an amazing movie and one hell of a ride. Highly enjoyable, even if I did know how it would turn out. I liked it so much that I watched it twice (in a row) the first time. ;D
