My list of the most ridiculous names in Hollywood. Whether they be difficult to spell or pronounce, they surely give me some trouble.

Also, this is all MY opinion, so some people may not have the same issues as I.

Awesome idea, and a good start.
Here are maybe a few that could be contenders:

M. Night Shyamalan - I never remember that damn y!
Jake/Maggie Gyllenhaal - There are two Ls AND two As, what the H?
Mariska Hargitay - I think it's pronounced Muh - rish - ka?? and then not sure on the Har or the Gi or the Tay

How about Chiwetel Ejiofor? He's been in Love Actually and was the bad guy in Serenity. I still have no clue how to say or spell it on my own. I had to copy/paste it to put it here.
Posted: 2 years, 8 months ago at Aug 15 8:57
Milo Ventimiglia is easy...Ventee-mee-glia (not meelia) and it means in italians letterely "TwentyMiles".
Anyway you have forgot Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Hence the part in the title "And/Or".............They are mostly hard to SPELL.
Posted: 1 year, 2 months ago at Feb 15 16:28
Scarlett Johansson, really? Can't figure out why that should be difficult to pronounce..

But great list anyway, good job!
Posted: 1 year, 2 months ago at Feb 16 4:42
It's difficult to SPELL, at least sometimes for me. Hard to remember if there are two s', two n's, whatever it may be. The list does have an "And/Or" in it........

But thanks for the vote, man.

Cinephile this is genius and true LOL

I've never understood why "Joaquin" is actually pronounced "WA-KEEN". How does that make sense? Jake Gyllenhall addressed how difficult it is to pronounce his surname while doing an interview for "Prince of Persia".

He helpfully clarified that the correct pronunciation is YI-LEN-WHO-LA-HAY. Pretty obvious, right? =P

Who would want to spell Galifianakis name anyway? He's in bed with the Koch Brothers money and the rest of the Libertariantard crowd
Posted: 1 month, 1 week ago at Mar 8 8:45
I have no clue what that means, Gary, but regardless, your point is very much an invalid one.
Posted: 1 month, 1 week ago at Mar 8 8:57
I have mastered some of these now, but Matthew Mac gets me every time even if I had just looked at his damn name!
Posted: 1 month, 1 week ago at Mar 11 0:10
I know! I'm exactly the same way, and probably won't EVER be able to spell it.
