My list of the most ridiculous names in Hollywood. Whether they be difficult to spell or pronounce, they surely give me some trouble.

Also, this is all MY opinion, so some people may not have the same issues as I.

Awesome idea, and a good start.
Here are maybe a few that could be contenders:

M. Night Shyamalan - I never remember that damn y!
Jake/Maggie Gyllenhaal - There are two Ls AND two As, what the H?
Mariska Hargitay - I think it's pronounced Muh - rish - ka?? and then not sure on the Har or the Gi or the Tay

How about Chiwetel Ejiofor? He's been in Love Actually and was the bad guy in Serenity. I still have no clue how to say or spell it on my own. I had to copy/paste it to put it here.

Scarlett Johansson, really? Can't figure out why that should be difficult to pronounce..

But great list anyway, good job!
Posted: 2 years, 11 months ago at Feb 16 4:42
It's difficult to SPELL, at least sometimes for me. Hard to remember if there are two s', two n's, whatever it may be. The list does have an "And/Or" in it........

But thanks for the vote, man.

Cinephile this is genius and true LOL

I've never understood why "Joaquin" is actually pronounced "WA-KEEN". How does that make sense? Jake Gyllenhall addressed how difficult it is to pronounce his surname while doing an interview for "Prince of Persia".

He helpfully clarified that the correct pronunciation is YI-LEN-WHO-LA-HAY. Pretty obvious, right? =P
