Doesn't have three LP's but he's been featured time and time again since he came in the game. So I think its fair to place him up here. Though again, if this was in an order he would be toward the bottom because he's still new and his contribution isn't quite there yet. But what he's amounted so far is only a foreshadow of hopefully what's to come from a future legend that'd be looked on for decades to come.

Another artist who has taken upon themselves to convince and inspire fans that it is possible to get into a whole array of abundant music out there and still produce good music. Because face it, pandering the same success you initially got (if you ever did) is boring and expanding out like this man has with Mr. Bungle and Faith No More being his bigger projects, while still focusing on his solo career and plenty of other side projects. He has really showcased himself as a legend by always pushing the boundaries that we thought were never possible.

Angel Dust (Faith No More)

I don't think as a collective hip hop group wu-tang were strong enough to be considered on this list. But why I did add them is so I don't have to add every single solo career each of the members had, which were short from superb and sometimes being clunky. So i'll address each solo career of the wu-tang here. Added I should of done this with Dan Bejar as well.

First up: RZA. Not my favorite of the group but he's too bad as he's had a few okay albums by himself, namely Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.

After RZA, we have: GZA. By far one of the best members from the wu-tang to initially have the best promising solo career. He took a dive towards the 21st century unfortunately. Who could forget a classic like Liquid Swords (which by the way is my favorite hip hop album of the 90's) its like 36 chambers comes out, the classic it already is after a year or two. And here comes GZA and basically single handedly (almost) triumphs that classic. Good shit.

Up next: Method Man. As a guest feature he's pretty bad ass. But his own material is pretty whack. Not bad though, especially on the debut of the wu-tang. He killed it towards the latter half.

My man: Ghostface Killah. Probably the only relevant rapper to emerge from the wu-tang who's even relevant at all, and on top of that has one of the most successful careers out of the members, next to Raekwon of course (but he's for later). What has this man not done? By far the best member of the wu-tang in terms of being consistent, he would of easily made this list if I didn't decide to do it this way. Not quite as clever as GZAs' Liquid Swords, but near it almost every single time. Highlights: Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Fishscale, Apollo Kids and his most recent that came out this year, Twelve Reasons to Die.

And the father to us all . . . Ol' Dirty Bastard. If it wasn't for his unexpected death, i'm more than sure he would be on pare with Raekwon and Ghostface Killah with his releases. Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version is an instant classic and Nigga Please was pretty good as well.

My second favorite wu-blocker has to be: Raekwon. It was coming and expected from previous writing. So here we are with Raekwon. Upon first listen and prejudge, I thought this guy would be the one going no where. Nope, that is reserved for the remaining three members I haven't mentioned yet. Raekwon is known for his Cuban Linx series, which are both fantastic. As for his other albums, they're okay. He's a pretty good collab, too.

And as for the rest. Inspectah Deck is definitely mentionable. He did a great job on the debut. As for his later work, not so much. Masta Killa and U-God are okay . . .

Excellent list mate!
Glad to see great names such as Animal Collective, Godspeed or Boards of Canada and classics like Aphex Twin, Autechre, Joy Division, Pixies or Fugazi

I hope you don't mind but I think Josh Homme really deserves to be on this list.
He's the founder of Kyuss in the early 90's (Blues for the Red Sun is one the greatest albums of all time IMHO) and later Queens of the Stone Age.
He's also at the center of the collective project The Desert Sessions, and more recently Them Crooked Vultures (with Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones)

Great rec. I do like me some Kyuss and Queens of Stone Ages, but I don't LOVE them. Neither do I LOVE josh homme. I mean don't get me wrong, for Hard Rock (a genre I genuinely tend to dislike. Because look at my list, how many hard rock artists do you see?) Queens of Stone Age and Kyuss are the best out there in my opinion. But I don't like them enough to add them on the list. But just to make it clear once again, I do like Josh Hommes' work.

And Them Crooked Vultures is probably the best side project by Josh Homme to be honest.

But I appreciate the kind words and gratitude ^-^

Now that, thanks to you, I discovered Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc and Owls, I'd say Tim Kinsella should be on this list :) and somewhere at the top, where everybody can see it!!!
