Moments to Make You Cry !! MAJOR SPOILERS!!
3229 6.4 6.41. Hook (1991)
My favorite movie as a child. A movie in which Peter Pan (Williams) has grown up to be a cut-throat merger and acquisitions lawyer, and is married to Wendy's granddaughter. Captain Hook (Hoffman) kidnaps his children, and Peter must return to Never Land with Tinkerbell (Roberts)to save his children by battling with Captain Hook once again.
The part that always gets me is when Peter and Tink return to the Lost Boy's hideout, now under the leadership of a boy named Rufio. At first no one believes, until a little boy named Pockets speaks out. Pockets moment with Peter always makes me weepy in a good way
4078 7.2 82. Avatar (2009)
In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.
Two moments got me in this movie. The first is the devastating loss of Hometree, the the reaction shots of both the Navi and the scientists that worked with them was moving. The second part that caught me off guard was when Neytiri is trapped by the soldiers and is saved Eywa. James Cameron is the man, what can I say?
3963 7.2 7.93. Toy Story 2 (1999)
In Toy Story 2, the fun and adventure continues when Andy goes off to summer camp and the toys are left to their own devices. Things shift into high gear when an obsessive toy collector kidnaps Woody who unbeknownst to himself is a highly valued collectible. It's now up to Buzz Lightyear and the gang from Andy's room to save their pal from winding up as a museum piece and get home before Andy does.
Pixar's ability to blend childlike innocence and real life lessons is the reason why I'm a life long fan. After Woody is literally on the brink of leaving Al's apartment and returning home to Andy and the rest of the toys. The Prospector tells Woody that even though he might be leaving he feels that it'd be a good idea to talk to Jessie before he leaves. After Woody tries to get Jessie to see things his way about Andy, Jessie relates her the story about her owner, Emily. It leads into quite possibly one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the Toy Story series. After the "When Somebody Loved Me" song plays and her story unfolds I doubt there were many dry eyes left in the theater.

With only blood thirsty zombies as his neighbors and his trusty dog, Samantha, Robert is trying to discover a cure for this disease and to find out any other people who might have also survived.
The scene in which Roberts realizes that Sam has been infected and will become a vampire dog soon and finishes her off is a blow to dog lovers every where.

3794 7.1 7.67. Cast Away (2000)

153 6.6 7.18. Latter Days (2003)
Aaron Davis (Steve Sandvoss) and Christian Markelli (Wes Ramsey) are the two most opposite people in the world. Aaron is a young Elder (or a Mormon missionary) who wants to do his family proud and is quite passionate about his religion and film. Christian is a shallow WeHo waiter/party boy who only looks forward to bedding a new guy every night. After Aaron and three other missionaries move into the apartment across from Christian, his friends bet him $50 that he can't get one of them to jump into the sack, so he instantly latches onto Aaron. There are two problems, though - Christian is falling in love with Aaron and the Mormons are not the biggest fans of the homosexual community. Once Aaron is discovered, the two have to go through trials of regret, loss, perseverance, and forgiveness if they both want to get to the thing that matters to them most: each other.
This movie was surprisingly poignant. The part that got me was when Christian seeks out the family home in Idaho, where he tearfully returns Aaron's family heirloom watch to his mother.
2057 6.4 6.59. City of Angels (1998)
Seth, an angel watching over Los Angeles, begins finding his job difficult as he falls in love with Maggie, a beautiful heart surgeon. She becomes interested in Seth, and soon his not-quite-mortal state seems a barrier rather than a gift. A choice must be made between celestial duty and earthly love.
The final closing scenes between Seth and Cassiel were wonderfully sad.
2037 7.6 7.810. Atonement (2007)
When Briony Tallis, 13 years old and an aspiring writer, sees her older sister Cecilia and Robbie Turner at the fountain in front of the family estate she misinterprets what is happening thus setting into motion a series of misunderstandings and a childish pique that will have lasting repercussions for all of them. Robbie is the son of a family servant toward whom the family has always been kind. They paid for his time at Cambridge and now he plans on going to medical school. After the fountain incident, Briony reads a letter intended for Cecilia and concludes that Robbie is a deviant. When her cousin Lola is raped, she tells the police that it was Robbie she saw committing the deed when in fact it was a visitor to the estate.
When the truth Briony's final act of atonement for what she did to Robbie and Cecilia is relieved to the audience in the 1990 interview is when I lose it.
3050 7 7.711. The Last Samurai (2003)
Set in Japan during the 1870s, The Last Samurai tells the story of Capt. Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise), a respected American military officer hired by the Emperor of Japan to train the country's first army in the art of modern warfare. As the Emperor attempts to eradicate the ancient Imperial Samurai warriors in preparation for more Westernized and trade-friendly government policies, Algren finds himself unexpectedly impressed and influenced by his encounters with the Samurai, which places him at the center of a struggle between two eras and two worlds, with only his own sense of honor to guide him.
The scene in which Katsumoto is hit and Algren holds him and helps him to take his own life, was both eloquent and perfectly written.
2168 7.2 7.212. Memoirs of a Geisha (2005)
In 1929 an impoverished nine-year-old named Chiyo from a fishing village is sold to a geisha house in Kyoto's Gion district and subjected to cruel treatment from the owners and the head geisha Hatsumomo. Under Mameha's mentorship, Chiyo becomes the geisha named Sayuri, trained in all the artistic and social skills a geisha must master in order to survive in her society. As a renowned geisha she enters a society of wealth, privilege, and political intrigue. As World War II looms Japan and the geisha's world are forever changed by the onslaught of history.
The final scenes in which Nobu relieves his part in Sayuri's struggle always makes me want to jump for joy and makes my cousin cry.
7754 7.9 8.713. Forrest Gump (1994)
Forrest, Forrest Gump is a simple man with little brain activity but good intentions. He struggles through childhood with his best and only friend Jenny. His 'mama' teaches him the ways of life and leaves him to choose his destiny. Forrest joins the army for service in Vietnam, finding new friends called Dan and Bubba, he wins medals, starts a table tennis craze, creates a famous shrimp fishing fleet, inspires people to jog, create the smiley, write bumper stickers and songs, donating to people and meeting the president several times. Forrest becomes representative of the baby boomer generation having walked through life blindly. However this is all irrelevant to Forrest who can only think of his childhood sweetheart Jenny. Who has messed up her life. Although in the end all he wants to prove is that anyone can love anyone.
The monologue Hanks delivers at the grave site caused grown men to cry.

In 1963,two young men hire on as ranch hands in the Wyoming mountains.During the long months of isolation,an unusual bond starts to develop between them, one which they are only vaguely aware of--until one night when it rises to the surface in a passionate encounter. When the season ends, they part ways, only to realize the true depth of their feelings. Thus begins a decades-long affair that the two of them desperately try to hide from those around them--one which will prove simultaneously beautiful and devastating.
Heath Ledger's final scenes are so touching he could make a stone cry in the desert.
3664 6.7 715. A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
In the not-so-far future the polar ice caps have melted and the resulting raise of the ocean waters has drowned all the coastal cities of the world. Withdrawn to the interior of the continents, the human race keeps advancing, reaching to the point of creating realistic robots (called mechas) to serve him. One of the mecha-producing companies builds David, an artificial kid which is the first to have real feelings, especially a never-ending love for his "mother", Monica. Monica is the woman who adopted him as a substitute for her real son, who remains in cryo-stasis, stricken by an incurable disease. David is living happily with Monica and her husband, but when their real son returns home after a cure is discovered, his life changes dramatically.
Ok, so no one scene in this movie really got me. Its the overall concept of the movie that made me want to cry and off myself for being an insensitive human and want to give my toaster a hug.
960 6.8 7.116. Little Women (1994)
With their father away fighting in the Civil War, Joe, Meg, Beth and Amy grow up with their mother in somewhat reduced circumstances. They are a close family who inevitably have their squabbles and tragedies. But the bond holds even when, later, men friends start to become a part of the household.
Beth's death has always left me weepy a few hours after watching the movie.
3871 7.3 7.617. Moulin Rouge (2001)
It's Paris in 1899. Christian, a young English poet, comes to Paris to pursue a penniless career as a writer. However, he soon meets a group of Bohemians who tell him that he should write a musical show for them to be performed at the Moulin Rouge, the most famous underworld night club in Paris. The night they arrive at the Moulin Rouge, Christian meets Satine, the club's star and a beautiful courtesan. He falls head-over-heels in love with her and though it takes a bit of convincing, she falls for him as well. And little does Satine know that she has a deadly secret that could end everything.
Satine's death was EPIC!!!
5977 7.7 8.218. V for Vendetta (2005)
Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as "V." Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself - and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.
When Evey finds a letter left by former prison named Valerie. Valerie's note describes how the problems in America came to England and subsequently led England to persecute those who were different sexual orientation, interracial relationships etc because they were the cause of this epidemic. Her message was to not let the powers that be take the self away a the person. This movie was made ten times better by this scene.
2112 7.5 7.719. What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993)
Gilbert Grape lives in Endora, a place where nothing much happens. The only times the police got something to do is when Gilbert's autistic brother Arnie tries to climb up on the watertower nearby. Taking care of Arnie is mostly Gilbert's task which can be pretty demanding, at least while you are working at the local grocery store. Then one day Becky and her grandmother passes through Endora getting trouble with the car. Gilbert falls in love with Becky, but gets problems when he tries to find time for his own private life.
I would hate to have to make the decision to get rid of my mother's remains like that, because I don't think I could do it.
7374 8.2 8.920. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the Kin... (2003)
While Frodo & Sam continue to approach Mount Doom to destroy the One Ring, unaware of the path Gollum is leading them, the former Fellowship aid Rohan & Gondor in a great battle in the Pelennor Fields, Minas Tirith and the Black Gates as Sauron wages his last war against Middle-Earth.
The scene in which Pippin sings for Denethor during his noon meal is both a touching and power full combination of imagery and music.
