Elli's best friend throughout both books, Jenna. At one point the girls think they might be half sisters. It's also fun to have pics of Candice and Miranda together!




Jenna will also be getting her own spinoff adult series and is one of the perspectives (narrator) of the young adult series told from the points of view of different characters.

As of now Robert is the basis for Jonah, Jenna's older brother, the biggest d-bag in the world. He's a jerk to his sister and Elli especially. He's trying to prevent Elli and Jagger from getting together and keeps trying to get them to break up using any means necessary. Jonah develops a substance abuse problem early in the series.

After much deliberation and back and forth I finally settled on Hunter for Eric Morely. Eric is Elli's former crush and Jagger's ex-best friend. The two had a falling out over Eric's treatment of Elli and the fact that he still likes her when she and Jagger are dating.

Eric's a shy guy focused mostly on just being there without being seen. He's very much a listener and observes everything around him in a way that makes him interesting to read.

Julianne is the inspiration for the character of Morgan. She quickly becomes the best friend of Elli and Jenna as well as eventually Eric's gf/future wife. Morgan is the comedic relief (even more than Jenna) and becomes a teen Mom fairly early in the series.

Brody plays Zach, Morgan's baby daddy, the captain of the baseball team that Jagger and Eric are on. He has a secret that we learn in Book 3 that could explode in his face.

Izabel plays Courtney, the stuck up daddy's girl at school. You pretty quickly learn that nothing is what it seems with this girl but she's not your typical bitch character, she's not what she appears.

Though Iza is usually in lingerie Courtney is actually pretty conservative in my writing so far. It's a challenge to find the sexy Ms. Goulart wearing any actual clothes.

Greg plays Jagger, Eric and Zach's friend Marc. I don't find Greg particularly attractive but his character on The Secret Life of the American Teenager is like a toned down version of the big, sexist jock character I created for Marc and his look works.

There are two profiles for Mary-Louise Parker who plays Elli's mother, Karynn Matthews. Karynn is a mess who can't get her act together enough to take care of her daughter, similar but not exactly the same as Mary-Louise's character on Weeds, just a much stronger link. I also chose her for her hair color and skinny frame(like a younger Candice Swanepoel). There's not much of a resemblance but it suits my purpose.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan stars as Elli's absentee father, Patrick Matthews. I loved him on Supernatural as John Winchester and though he plays a small part I think his persona is perfect for Elli's father.

Angie Harmon plays Jenna's mother, Suzanna Reynolds. She is a mother of 5, many of her children look just like her with her dark hair and eyes but she's upset that Jenna more resembles her father. It's an issue from the beginning, she wishes her oldest daughter was more like her, thin, cheerleader, spoiled brat but Jenna is more sweet, sarcastic, down to Earth and friendly, not to mention not rail thin.

Love Angie on Rizzoli and Isles-one of my favorite shows although Suzanna is nothing like Jane Rizzoli, they couldn't be more different.

Plays Jenna's dad Tristan Reynolds. He's like a surrogate father to Elli, always there for both girls. He gave up a music career when his then-gf got pregnant with Jenna's older brother Jonah but never resented his kids because of it.

Jenna's younger sister Jacey. Looks a lot like their mother played by Angie Harmon. Eventually the two younger sisters will have their own young adult series but sometimes I'm too ambitious for my own good.



It's a total coincidence that their older bro Brody is Zach, they are no relation in Life in Parts.

Kendall's little sister Kylie plays Jenna's youngest sister, Jolie. She'll play only a small part in Life in Parts but will be in the younger girls spinoff when I write that.

Jessica Perez plays Jagger's half sister Kendall (came up with the name before I picked the Jenner sisters to play Jenna's sisters lol). She's a few years younger than Jagger and Elli and as of now plays little part in the books. She'll have a bigger role as the books progress and saves the couple's relationship a few times.

plays Jagger's friend Tavares because of his size and ethnicity. In Life in Parts he's secretly in love with Elli throughout his friendship with Jagger. You'll see his point of view in the books. Tavares is also in Scrambled Gregs as a potential love interest for Elli. I've also written a book about what would have happened if Elli and Tavares had actually gotten together.



This picture isn't actually accurate to the characters persona but it's one of two that are posted.

plays Mariella, Tavares' girlfriend at the end of Life in Parts and the beginning of Scrambled Greg. In the alternate version of the book where Elli and Tavares end up together he breaks up with Mariella to be with Elli.

I used Monica as the inspiration for two characters, Heather and Hailey- The Twins. They have a small role in Life in Parts as potential love interests of Jagger before he and Elli are together. They share a past and maybe a present!

the inspiration for the title character of Greg. His persona on Veronica Mars (always sweet and quick with a smile) is exactly how I picture Greg but their looks are a little different. Greg is based on an actual person in real life but Max was the closest person I could find for the list.

Greg is Elli's love interest in Scrambled Greg's. A misunderstanding puts their relationship in jeopardy and Elli has to do everything she can to get Greg back before it's too late.

Erin plays Elli's friend Chelsea in Scrambled Gregs. She's a new friend who hasn't appeared in any books before this one. She's a sweetheart and helps Elli through many emotional things when she needs a friend. The character of Chelsea is really cute and loveable.

I love being able to use photos of Erin and Candice or Erin and Miranda for my characters and am always on the hunt for more of them together.

Chris plays Greg's friend, Chris but it was a total accident with their names. He's the funny jokster who always says inappropriate sexual things. He's athletic and although quick with a joke he's always the first to help out when the situation get's serious.



The photos of him and Candice Swanepoel really clenched his role in the book.

Daniel is the basis for Derek, the other of Greg's best friends. Derek is an athletic guy who lives to eat and then burn off the calories in a game of basketball or two hand touch. I wanted someone that wasn't the typical white boy, college guy.

Andi plays Sarah, Jagger's ex-girlfriend during the time Elli and Jagger had broken up. In Scrambled Gregs Sarah has a secret that she doesn't want out and it causes her to do some pretty stupid things to keep anyone from finding out what she has been hiding.

In the Tavares version of the story Sarah and Elli are the best of friends and everyone knows what she was hiding all those years ago but Elli only learns about what she did to protect her secret way down the road.




Again, love photos of Elli and Sarah (Candice and Andi) together and there seem to be quite a few.

Jay plays Jenna's on-off boyfriend, Brayden. His look is perfect and since he actually dated Miranda Kerr I thought it was appropriate.
