Q: The first album I ever got was 'Like a Virgin'. It was during the Iran Contra conflict-I thought she was saying, 'Like a Persian'.

I'm blessed with a lot of energy and stamina. I can't stand sitting still. I went to a spa once with my mom and I was like, "Get me out of here!'".

Wrote a screenplay titled "Circus Girl" with friend Jackson Nash. "Circus Girl" involves a witch, evil flying red balloons and a giant diamond. Zooey plans to star in the film as the nerdy main character.

I believed in Santa Claus until I was like 14.

It`s an addiction. I love clothes. I like to go down Melrose and look in all the windows and I go to different flea markets. I have lots of costumes. You never know when you`re going to have to dress up like a milkmaid from the 1600s.

I can do the chipmunk voice and impressions of Judy Garland, Debbie Reynolds and Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music (1965). I could probably do the whole Von Trapp family.

I don't know that it's important, but it's nice to be a kid when you're a kid, you know? It's nice to pretend.

Name means 'dawning sun' in Gaelic and pronounced Sah-mee-rah. Her parents initially pronounced her name Sam-air for 3 months until they were taught how to pronounce it in its proper Gaelic form

Samaire's bathroom is the color pink.

If Samaire was a superhero, she would want to be called 'Samurai Samaire'.
Samaire has a love for candy scented and flavoured beauty products.

She has her own clothing line, NARU.

Q: When I was 4, I started training in Japanese sword fighting with my dad. It was very embarrassing to be sword training in the park next to where the boys were playing football.

PIF: Tiny at just over five feet, Ricci stopped growing when she was ten years old. She suffers from botanophobia (fear of plants). Admits to being especially afraid of houseplants.

Q: If I hadn't gone into acting, I would have been one of those weird runaways on Hollywood Boulevard. No, it'd be uglier. I'd probably be dead.

For years, I hated myself. I covered the mirrors in my house. I literally couldn't have a mirror in my room. I still can't sit in a restaurant or someplace where I can catch my reflection. I get so paranoid.

I certainly hope I'm not still answering child-star questions by the time I reach menopause.

I have no idea what to do. People are taking my picture, and I’m just, like, standing there blinking. I’m so not suave.

I really have no idea why people think I’m weird, unless it’s because I carry a hanky and like fine writing papers – little things out of time. Or because I’ll swear like a truck driver, but then I make sure I always blot my lips after I eat.
