Movies i don't like or i'm not convinced because think are overrated. I recognize that this is a very personal list, very difficult to transfer to anyone, so i apologize in advance.... ;)
I agree with a good many of your selections here. But then again, a few of them get my hackles up (Particularly Taxi Driver. And to a lesser extent Do the Right Thing.)
I'm curious about your inclusion of Once Upon a Time in the West... I haven't seen it yet, but it's commonly considered Leone's masterpiece. Anyway, I personally felt Once Upon a Time in America was an overlong, absolute mess of a movie (I think about 7 writer worked on the damn thing) and scratch my head as to why so many people swear by it. And in the last week I watched A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More and was not overly impressed. I've got The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly sitting on my coffee table to watch later this week. But I'm getting the feeling that Sergio Leone just isn't for me. At all. So...
Have you seen any of his other work? How have you responded to his other films? Just curious, because he has something like 5 movies in the IMDb top 250 (not the most reliable source for quality, I know) and I'm just not seeing it.
Hello Xanadon't! To begin with, excuse my horrible English, which is why I don't like to dwell much on this language ... :)
Although not a cause for apology, I recognize that my scores to the movies are too strict and may be considered at least one point above shown. For me, an interesting movie, only deserves a 6, a good movie, 7... I'm too "hard"! :D
Regarding Sergio Leone, except for Once Upon A Time In America, I must have seen all his films, including his first peplums, but the latter as a child and can't remember well enough. I don't like his films because, in general, not interesting me the spaghetti western that i think of poor quality. To me, overrated is the same Leone. Just happens to me with Scorsese. I don't dispute that his films can be very interesting and well built, but particularly not enough to "get hooked", it seems very contrived and even empty. I'm sorry for Taxi Driver, which I consider a visible film, but nothing more. Spike Lee, you say... catch me at a bad time, I dunno. Be advised that a 5 rating is acceptable to me, in any case and I have very particular and restrictive tastes... :D
Awesome list!

There are a lot of classic movies in this list, it's also a question of historical context.
