I've been a Lovecraft fan since the age of 20 but I had no idea there were THIS many films made from his works. Looks like I have some things to add to my watch-list. ;)

I am certain this film mentions the Cthulu myth and plays heavily on Lovecraft (ufos, some alien/weird creatures/paranormal happenings, some sort of weird killings)--- Occult: The Unidentified http://www.listal.com/movie/okaruto

Hey xxixii. Thanks for the recommendation. I've only seen Gurotesuku (aka Grotesque) by the same director, which was a pretty decent (and fairly disturbing) take on the "torture-porn" genre films such as Hostel, etc. I'll have to check this one out too. Added to list.

Occult is more in the vein of Noroi: The Curse, following the same faux documentary/found footage format - so it will be very slow at the start but gets weirder and better the further it goes - funnily though i hate remakes I think this one would be great ...better graphics and setting it in the US would freak people out....apart from a few scenes there is hardly any blood or violence

I am still undecided if the ending is handled brilliantly or appallingly and there are a few wtf type moments
